I had been to this restauraunt years ago and although it was good I wasn't in a rush to go back....there are many good restaurants in the area to pick from. However I was meeting a friend for dinner and she suggested we meet here. The restaurant had been redone and the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. I always like... More

The restaurant had recently been redone so it tries not to look like the diner it once was. Nice try but it is still dark and could use more touches. I ordered the short ribs only to be told that they were not available. Of course, when the waiter was telling use about the specials, he did not mention that... More

Where to begin . . . went for 'brunch' - one person in our party had French toast - for $10 - two pieces of regular, twin bread, served with Kraft pancake syrup - not even real maple syrup - and they had to wait for a forgotten, miniscule amount of 'berry sauce'; eggs benedict $12 - southwest eggs benedict... Although the food is not bad, although over-priced, the manager is very rude, to put it mildly. I made a reservation for 6:oo pm (the last time I will ever go there). The manager called me earlier in the day to confirm the reservation, and to remind me to be on time because he had the table booked for 8... More

Walking in the atmosphere was nice. We were seated and given menues. Apparently there was much confusion as to who our waiter/waitress was and was completely unorganized. By the way be the end of dinner still could not determine who our server was. The food was nothing special, tasted looked like I would make at home. My wife ordered the... More

Four of us ate at Janice last Saturday. Reservations are definitely needed. This is a store front BYOB with some tables up front and a line of booths opposite a long bar with seating. It is a informal, casual atmosphere. The food is pricey but excellent. We all ordered a salad which is not included with the meal. It was... More

I have been to Janice twice, so shame on me. The food is not bad, but the service is appalling. I think it is because the waitress, the same one on both occasions is a family member of the owner or is an owner herself. If not, they just allow her to rule the roost. A group of 5 women... More

I have been dining at Janice since it opened. It is warm, inviting and they serve delicious meals. Whether it is for lunch or dinner, don't miss it. It is worth the trip!

I've been to "Janice a bistro" for both breakfast (four times) and lunch (once) and it has been a nice experience each time. The menu isn't overly complex and effort is clearly made to make each choice interesting. The staff is attentive but not pushy and the prices are reasonable with only a few exceptions. On a recent lunch visit... More

After attending a brunch catered by Janice, it inspired me to host a brunch at my home in Ridgewood, NJ and I called on Janice for help. She made quiches and a lima/red/white bean salad which were absolutely delicious and my guests couldn't believe how delicious everything was. Despite the pouring rain and everything having to be moved inside for... More
