Apparently I'm in the minority of Trip Advisor reviewers. I actually felt the restaurant was 3.5 stars, with the lower rating for the pricing. The food was good, not great. Nice presentation, ample portions, flavorful mostly but no WOW factor. Given the cost of the entrees, I felt the food should have been at a higher level. Salads were excellent.

We returned to Ho Ho Kus and weren't disappointed. We started with Duck Foie Gras Terrine, Autumn Fruit Compote, Banana Toast and an order of a special lobster ravioli, Their Foie Gras is superb.I'd be very happy taking a double dose of lipitor, and a double order of this extraordinary appetizer. The medallions of Venison were prepared perfectly as well,... More

This upscale BYOB restaurant has a large dining room that can get noisy when crowded. The three of us ordered the pork chop ($29), striped bass ($34) and the short ribs ($36). If we came back, none of us would order the same thing again. The food wasn't bad, it was just average.

We arrived early for our Saturday night reservation and were seated promptly. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. They were attentive without being overbearing. There were four of us for dinner and we all had different appetizers, entrees and desserts and everyone agreed the food was delicious and very well presented. A bonus is this restaurant is a BYOB!... This was our first time here and it was a special request for a birthday party. The entire staff was so helpful and professional. The food was superb, great flavor, excellent presentation and great service. A keeper as we say.

We had a very nice evening at St. Eve’s. It’s always great here, lot’s of very unique dishes and it did not disappoint this evening. We brought a good bottle of wine, to compliment dinner, definitely a great choice. For dinner, I had raviolis with corn inside. They were very unique, with a slight sweet taste. I really enjoyed them.... More

Was pleasantly surprised. Traveled from NY. We started with apps we shared including an entree portion of a Rabbit Ragu over pasta, duck liver pate and salads. The burger was topped with some shredded short ribs and caramelized onions on a brioshe bun. Cooked perfectly. One of our party said the pork chop was exceptional. Will definitely return next time... Nice place! Very nice decor & although it was raining, it appeared there was al fresco dining when the sun shines. Good parking. Very polished staff. BYO! Soft shell crab appetizer tempura with accompanying asian cole slaw was excellent, but $22.! A bit steep. My entree of Berkshire pork chop wash nicely grilled. My wife's entree of salmon came too... This is my second review of St. Eve's. We have been back a few times since my first review. In May my family of 11 celebrated a b'day there. Even though it happened to coincide with Mother's Day, the wait staff couldn't have been more attentive. And the food was perfection. Lately they have had a raw oyster appetizer that... More
