Great Location

We have eaten here twice and both times were just average .The fried shrimp seemed to be of the frozen variety and my wife's meal was less than memorable .I am often surprised by the crowds. I don't get why they always seem to be busy.

Bahrs Landing was recommended by a local I met at the twin lights lighthouse. I was expecting just seafood and I found German fare. Not just the ordinary - but excellent German cusine. My sauerbraten $ 13:00, with tender medium thick pork slices, perfectly cooked to doneness, covered with sweet / sour brown gravy, was delish. Potato pancakes, crispy like... More

We've eaten here a number of times, and the food is fairly good,(not great). But the location is terrific, and the atmosphere is wonderful. You can eat over looking th water, or from inside, with a view of the river. A fun place, with friendly wait staff. Not terribly expensive.

The German menu is very good. The rest of the menu is mediocre. I wish the food were better, because the ambiance is excellent. In the summer it is especially nice. The staff is friendly.

I ate here and enjoyed a bucket of steamers and a Blue Moon. The steamers were great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the view was great! As I was leaving,, I saw many people with lobsters on their plates as big as your head! I also bought a couple of cans of their own brand of chowder on their way... More

Had a very pleasant lunch here. It's a nice location overlooking the water. The beer was decent (although not what I would have described as an Oktoberfest style) and the food was fine. It helped that it was such a good day too.

Another family celebration at New Jerseys best classic seafood restaurant . We had my wife's birthdsy with adult children and grandchildren. The staff is terrific and that means great friendly service. Can't beat the stuffed flounder or Steve's in & out Martinis up with 3 olives. Great views ,great food, great service. A New Jersey tradition. Here's to another 100... More

We stopped for a beer and stayed for dinner. Locals stop here each afternoon about 2:30 so get a seat at the outdoor bar or stand. Sit on the ocean side or you will have sun in your face. We had a few outside then went in for dinner. Seafood, it's all great. Fun times.

Bahrs is right on the water with a view of New York City (yes, it's true!) across the bay. There's a marina nearby so you have a beautiful view watching boats come and go. There's an outside deck open in warmer months, but the inside is well decorated in a nautical theme. The food is outstanding and not cheap but... More
