So we have just left hungry and disappointed. The New England clam chowder soup was the best part of the meal. My three children each ordered something different and they all only ate a few bites because of the taste (they are not picky eaters.) The two adult meals were small and of poor taste quality. While waiting the 40... More

Bahrs has whale bones on the walls and ship models under glass. It is replete with nautical history/memorabilia. The people are nice. The food is good. If you are up tight, don't go. They don't need you and I don't want to sit near you. I like the seafood marinara, she likes the clams and linguine, he likes clams or... More

We had lunch which was OK-nothing special. Clam chowder was typical. Scallops were OK, but they came with LARGE cut carrots and roasted potatoes. Have had better meals here. I know the price of seafood is on the rise and lobsters ran $25.00 per pound- not our choice for lunch. Service fair but this place is on our list to... More

Was at Bahrs in September and again today in early December for lunch. The "Award Winning Crabcakes" are perfect. All crab with a wonderful crusty finish, served with fresh roasted potatoes and sliced carrots. Of course the traditional Cole slaw and hot biscuits accompanied. Owners/Staff are very welcoming, and a peaceful sight looking at the boat docks and the calm... More

We planned our day trip to celebrate a friend’s birthday to include lunch at Bahr’s Landing and time on Sandy Hook to see birds and the fort. I had not been there, but the other two in the party had been there and liked it. I really enjoyed it as we had a table by the window overlooking the docks... More

We have eaten here twice and both times were just average .The fried shrimp seemed to be of the frozen variety and my wife's meal was less than memorable .I am often surprised by the crowds. I don't get why they always seem to be busy.

Bahrs Landing was recommended by a local I met at the twin lights lighthouse. I was expecting just seafood and I found German fare. Not just the ordinary - but excellent German cusine. My sauerbraten $ 13:00, with tender medium thick pork slices, perfectly cooked to doneness, covered with sweet / sour brown gravy, was delish. Potato pancakes, crispy like... More

We've eaten here a number of times, and the food is fairly good,(not great). But the location is terrific, and the atmosphere is wonderful. You can eat over looking th water, or from inside, with a view of the river. A fun place, with friendly wait staff. Not terribly expensive.

The German menu is very good. The rest of the menu is mediocre. I wish the food were better, because the ambiance is excellent. In the summer it is especially nice. The staff is friendly.
