Cheap And Good

This is great food for an evening after the beach. It isn't far from Sandy Hook (less than a mile) and the food is delicious and very reasonable. My salad was under $5 and we got a specialty large pizza for less than $20. It was big enough that we took home leftovers!. Particularly great for... read more

We've gone here a few times in the last weeks. I have to say, the food might be the best it's ever been here. Georgio is producing some really good meals. A special appetizer of baked eggplant lasagna was excellent. Their clams oreganato are freshly breaded with excellent sauce. Giorgio's grandma pie is not to be missed! Mains of eggplant... More

This is the neighborhood place. BYOB, picnic tables in the covered side porch with outdoor heaters. Soccer on the TV, the owner behind the counter. Soda cans in the fridge - grab what you like. This is low key and economical, unpretentious, and so close to the beach. I end up there out of default, simply because it's so familiar... More

Highlands has long been known for the high quality of the local restaurants. Francesco's has carried on this fine tradition. It is especially warming they were able to return after Sandy. The pizza is of very good quality, able to hold its own over the competition. The entrees are good, but typical. This is not a destination, but good for... More

Love Francescos- But we really love their Grandma pie followed by an order of pasta with garlic and oil. So simple- so delicious.

Before Storm Sandy this was my favorite go-to restaurant for authentic pizza. They closed for months after the storm. They re-opened with a new phone number but I am happy to report the pizza is the same!

Firstly, this is "Cheers" Italian style! Truly walk in more than once and either Phil or Jac "remember your name". If you want pizza, great...fabulous, but if you want to "kick it up a notch" eat dinner in this quaint and friendly place. Step in, sit down, order from the chalk board or menu...either way you cannot go wrong!!!! Have... More
