The other reviews were right, the place is not anything to look at from the outside but the interior is very fitting to an average Chinese restaurant. The menu is extensive with the dishes we all know and love like General Tso's Chicken, pork fried rice and and scallion pancakes but they also have other dishes like rabbit, cuddle fish... More

Nothing to look at from the outside, but the first thing you notice on being seated is that most of the customers are Chinese. The license plates in the parking lot are from all over, another good sign. This is a terrific Chinese restaurant! Wonderfully spicy food, properly marked in the menu, with real variety on offer. We're grateful that... More

Great Szechuan food. Resturant has an extensive Szechuan menu My party of 5 ordered Spicy Beef Jerky, Dan Dan noodles, Steamed dumpling with chili vinaigrette, Twice cooked sliced pork, Chongging spicy crispy chicken, and Sauteed string beans. All of these dished were delicious. The menu also has mild dishes for those who do not care for spicy food. If I am... More

I was surprised by the in-depth menu of authentic Szechuan choices - haven't seen this kind of listings since I was in San Francisco. Spicy choices, parts of fish and animals that Americans don't usually dine on...check this place out! Their more standard Americanized fare was great - Chicken with Cashews was loaded with both, not mostly celery and carrots... More

We were looking for something a bit more authentic vs "Tex-Mex" Chinese and the Szechuan House delivered. The menu was unique with many offerings I haven't seen since my business trips to China. My wife went bland but still enjoyed her meal. I had to pick out a few of the red chiles from mine after an initial round of... More

Szechuan cuisine is best recognized for its mouthwatering use of spicy chili and peppercorn. A well-known adage describing Szechuan cuisine goes, “one dish, one style; one hundred dishes, one hundred flavors”. Szechuan Cuisine started its seasoning tradition of "paying attention to the taste" and "attaching importance to pungency" as early as the start of 16th century.

We had moo shu shrimp, pork & pickled green beans and chicken with asparagus. Wow! Pancakes and shrimp filling were perfect - temperature, salt, mushrooms, sauce, shrimp. I REALLY liked the delicate pickling of the tiny chopped green beans plus it had the perfect amount of heat. The chicken was Soooo tender and asparagus were very fresh and perfectly cooked.... More

We have reviewed this restaurant almost three years ago, in October 2011, and stopped by again, frankly by a sort of misunderstanding. The restaurant offered discount vouchers on Living Social, so we checked the on-line menu. Well, the domain of Szechuan House in Hamilton is for sale, so the restaurant doesn't have its own website. We had to rely on... More

There is a wide variety of authentic Szechuan Chinese offerings on the menu. We tried spring rolls, egg rolls and scallion cakes for appetizers which were all very good. I tasted three different main course dishes that I thought were all very good as well, a Singapore Noodle (thin noodles sauteed with mild yellow curry, chicken, pork and shrimp), a... More
