really like the atmosphere. we ate in the patio, surrounded by sculptures and a little lake with a bridge & fountain. It's spectacular. Don't like the staff, but the food is really good. They're so stressed bc it's busy that they rush & are brusk. Not fine dining but gourmet style food none-the-less. It's pretty pricey, I think if you... More

From the walking into the entranceway to being seated at the bar while waiting for our table, Rats is a beautiful place to visit. The menu selection was phenomenal and the wine list was fantastic. The waiter was very informative and knew about each dish and was able to help the group of people immensely. I will absolutely go here... More

Rat's is an odd name for a fine dining room for a great luncheon that will likely cost you $25 with tax/tip. The theme is French but many offerings are without sauces that some do not like. The bar menu offers several very tempting cocktails but at added cost to the $25. A very nice relaxing hour consistent with the... More

My husband and I decided to make reservations for lunch at Rat's while we were visiting the gorgeous Grounds for Sculpture. We're glad we did because the meal was delicious, the setting glorious. Since we had an early reservation, we were able to sit outside and gaze upon the beautiful pond and bridge reminiscent of the French Impressionist Monet's town... More

Went to GFS and it was a busy holiday weekend. We decided to take our chances and dine at Rat's as there menu is eclectic and food delicious. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait so we walked around. We returned an hour later and were told there were 8 tables ahead of us - how could... More

The restaurant is very, very attractive even if you do not get a table outside that makes you feel that you are in a painting by Renoir. I had the New England clam chowder that was delicate and delicious. The

We were visiting Grounds for Sculpture and decided to have lunch at Rat's which is on the premises. We actually parked in the restaurant lot and headed in to see the grounds first. Rat's is popular with good reason...food is excellent. It was fully booked but we managed to have lunch at the bar which was just fine with us.... More

We had a very pleasant lunch here while visiting Grounds for Sculpture. The restaurant sits beside a lake, the surrounds and the building are beautiful, excellent food and great service.

Rat's brings you to a country setting outside of Paris even though it is located in Hamilton, NJ. The restaurant is built from material in other buildings from the eighteenth century and set on a very large track of land with ponds, fish, and beautiful trees and flowers. The restaurant has many well decorated rooms looking over the landscape. The... More
