Decent lunch

Came here with an old work pal and he had the pepper jack sandwich and I had the tavern chicken sandwich. I had a Stella Artois beer and he had an cied tea. The lunch was served with pickle slices and home cut fries done well. The sandwich was OK. Small patio facing 5 points intersection and... read more

We went to lunch on a Monday at Old Bill's. Lunch was very subpar. After spending 15 minutes looking at the menu - two of the four of us ordered the Cheese Steak Sandwich. Five minutes later we were told there were no cheese steaks and the chef didn't tell the wait staff. Ok - after reordering food - 2... More

My wife and I have been saying for quite some time to go for dinner there. We decided tonight would be that night. The interior of the restaurant is very rustic, which I like. The waitress came to our table, took our order, and kept stopping back (maybe a bit too much) to see if we needed anything. I ordered... More

The food is OK, but the reason to go there is the atmosphere: old plank floors bowed and polished with age, low ceilings from the times when large rooms were hard to heat, a friendly staff ready to share stories of its history.

We were not thrilled with our food. The quality seems to have gone downhill. The specials seem the better choices, but there are few healthy choices. Miss the good ole days when the grilled steaks were juicy and they served liver and onions -the days of Bill's "old" tavern. But the hostess was fabulous, so sweet and efficient.

I came here with a groupon. I heard they have large portions, I thought it was decent size. The food was average. It was good but nothing to brag about. I don't care for their bar crowd.

Stopped for lunch with family. We loved speculating about the history and if George Washington really stopped by etc as the local folklore says. The food and service were great. It was very cozy. I am sure we will return when in the area.

Try the fried pickles at Bill's.. they're really good. The bar staff is awesome- friendly and great for recommending a beer or drink to go with your meal. Kind of a dark, blah place inside, but the staff and food make up for it!

Stopped in recently for a quick lunch. This was my first visit and have to say they have a great craft beer selection! The lunch menu was really good with a lot of choices. I had the pretzel battered chicken with Kale slaw, sounded a little different and it was...delicious! I will be back to try some of the other... More
