Going way back in time

The food is OK, but the reason to go there is the atmosphere: old plank floors bowed and polished with age, low ceilings from the times when large rooms were hard to heat, a friendly staff ready to share stories of its history.

We were not thrilled with our food. The quality seems to have gone downhill. The specials seem the better choices, but there are few healthy choices. Miss the good ole days when the grilled steaks were juicy and they served liver and onions -the days of Bill's "old" tavern. But the hostess was fabulous, so sweet and efficient.

I came here with a groupon. I heard they have large portions, I thought it was decent size. The food was average. It was good but nothing to brag about. I don't care for their bar crowd.

Stopped for lunch with family. We loved speculating about the history and if George Washington really stopped by etc as the local folklore says. The food and service were great. It was very cozy. I am sure we will return when in the area.

Try the fried pickles at Bill's.. they're really good. The bar staff is awesome- friendly and great for recommending a beer or drink to go with your meal. Kind of a dark, blah place inside, but the staff and food make up for it!

Stopped in recently for a quick lunch. This was my first visit and have to say they have a great craft beer selection! The lunch menu was really good with a lot of choices. I had the pretzel battered chicken with Kale slaw, sounded a little different and it was...delicious! I will be back to try some of the other... More

Me and the Family went to Bill's for the Octoberfest dinner. German food aplenty - all house made - fresh and taste. The Hot Pretzel app along with the Potato pancakes were great. All went well with an Octoberfest Samuel Adams! Thanks for a great time with Family and Friends!

We came upon Bills totally by chance last Sunday because my son recently moved to Hamilton. We knew nothing about Bill's but saw the outdoor seating and decided to grab a burger. Well, the waitress tells us about the Sunday prime rib special for $12.99. This included a salad and two vegetables. We all got this and it was wonderful.... More

Bill's has a Wednesday night special-a 10 oz. burger, all the fries you can eat(not that you need anymore), and a soft drink, for $ 6.99. , between 11AM-6PM. This burger is about the best, juiciest, tastiest you'll ever get, not to mention the size, on a bun that really holds up. Forget about going to the renowned Rossi's, just... More
