I think I expected more.......

The food was good but nothing to write home about. I did enjoy the fish and chips, however, tried the mac and cheese for an appetizer and it really didn't have alot of flavor. I would probably try it again, but not in a rush. The atmosphere was very nice.

I really want to like this place (being British myself), and I go back a few times a year to give it another chance, but too often in fails on either food, service or both. It's just too variable, thus I have to give it a poor rating, even though the food can be good at times. I would say... More

Stopped by for lunch the other day. Thought I would try the Irish Stew. Large chunks of beef and potatoes, but rather bland. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was good. Not sure if I will go back for a second visit.

Fish and chips were very greasy, but the cod itself was fresh and tasty. Outside table and chairs flimsy and uncomfortable. Malt vinegar excellent. Scones very dry. Service good.

Mushy fish 'n chips in a British restaurant. Is that really necessary? The specialty de la maison should be nice and crisp, but not here.

We love the Big Ben burger, the bangers & mash, the fish & chips, the salads, even the cookies ... all great!

I was so excited to get British pub food and this looked like the perfect place to get food. The prices were reasonable for the fare. I ordered the Cottage Pie and was pleased with the meal but there was a bit of room for improvement. I love mashed potatoes as much as the next guy but I practically had... More

Chip Chop Salad rocks. Wow! My son had the fish & chips and said they were yummy! This is now a new haunt for us. The place gets very busy. Recommend.

Went to Chip Shop on New Years eve as a walk in with my family. They were accommodating and found us a table in pretty short order. The food was very good, having been to the UK many times for business I can say the menu and the actual food were pretty darn good. We each got an entree and... More

I work in Haddonfield and have been here several times, always receiving excellent service. The food is well-prepared and seems authentic. The dimly-lit atmosphere is perfect. The faux brick walls seem like a bit if a short cut, but that's being very nit-picky. I recommend this place.
