Exceptional service and British menu choices in the heart of Haddonfield. I've been here 3-4 times since!

I went on a Friday evening with my boyfriend and his son. We were seated right away, and our server, who was friendly, attended to us well. Before we ordered our meal, we ordered a couple drinks; the Tango and the Irn Bru. I was looking forward to an authentic British drink, and was disappointed that I was brought a... More

I went to the 'British Chip Shop' in picturesque Haddonfield, New Jersey, with a group of British ex-pats to celebrate the birthday of a member of the local English Club. It was an awful disappointment. Since fish and chips is the restaurant's signature dish, we realistically expected this to have resembled what we might expect when ordering the same meal... More

This place is tasty and the food always comes out hot and fresh. However, I am a fan of fish and chips, and although the fish they use is very good, the VERY thick layer of extremely greasy batter that makes up most of the portion doesn't really justify the pretty high price tag for the dish, IMO. I still... More

Had a very tasty dinner. Tried their bacon and date appetizer. Incredibly yummy. Totally recommend it. Small menu, but good stuff. Would love to see more items.

My daughter chose the British Chip Shop for her family birthday dinner on a rainy Sunday night. We were not disappointed by the service, the atmosphere, or the food. The potato leek soup and the devils on horseback were good, both interesting and filling appetizers. Everyone enjoyed their dinners (3 of us had sandwiches, the others fish and chips and... More

The service was attentive. The food was tasty. The noise level was high. The prices were fair. Would have a return visit to try some other food options.

The British Chip Shop is situated in a great spot in lovely historic Haddonfield, N.J. The concept is great and the menu looks terrific on paper--in practice, not so much. We ordered 3 appetizers: the potato leek soup, an Indian-style pizza, and the devils on horseback. The soup was fine, but not memorable. The pizza was interesting, but again, nothing... More
