After coming to this catering facility for an event, I have some observations. The pros: service staff was nice and attentive to guests, facility overall is nice, main course for dinner was good (not great, but good). The cons: arrived 10 minutes before official start of event, and met by a... read more

I wanted to find a nice place to take the family for a Mother's Day brunch that everyone would enjoy. We had gone to the Stoney Hill Inn before, but not during a holiday, and was pleased with the service and food. I should have realized that when you feed a huge amount of people allot of food, it was... More

Have been to this restaurant many times. Last night's experience was very disappointing. Venue was very busy with parties in the catering rooms. Dining room was not busy. Seemed to be adequately staffed. Service was terrible and inattentive. We were seated promptly and on time for our reservation. Took almost one hour to get a round of drinks and bread!... More

I've been here many times over the years and with only a few exceptions, I've always had a great meal. The place is hopping since it has an active bar and they also do catering. Prices are very high but I've never been disappointed. Good for a business meal.

The Stony Hill Inn is a restaurant of a bygone era that caters to customers who are locked in the late 1980's. Every time I eat here, I think Reagan is still in office. The food and the service are always just average, yet everyone raves about the place. I find the service so-so. Everytime you look for a waiter,... More

Just off the Turnpike going north, the exit leaves one on the other side of a highly trafficked road. We had to wait to cut through the traffic and enter the grounds of the restaurant, and took the valet parking. Seated quickly, our waiter told us we were in one of the original 1818 rooms (though much updated). The waiter... More

Dining was very good, with a superb wine list - prefer Malbec - and excellent menu and the food was fantastic. The server was great above and beyond the call of duty. His name was Carlos. And to make it even better was the jazz band afterwards. Everyone was very professional and very nice.

Decent continental cuisine served ala carte in an historic building which seems to date back over 10 years. Wait staff is tuxedo clad & at times seem pre -occupied .Banquet maitre'd, Sammy works magic at weddings & catered affairs which are prevelant here due to major political connections. Very active & large bar scene.Very pricey & could be out of... More
