A great choice for food, service and ambiance

Bergen County' s Dutch Heritage is honored with this beautiful preserved and expanded Dutch Farmhouse that once was the main house of a large farm. Located just off I-80 it is elegant inside and out always offering a limited, but excellent menu. Few restaurants in NJ are as classy and historic.

My husband and I have been coming here for over 30 years and we have never been disappointed. We had our wedding dinner here, and we have celebrated many anniversaries here, including our 25th, and recently, our 30th. The staff was friendly and welcoming & everyone wished us well. They brought us to the favorite table we requested and from... More

My high school held it's 50th reunion and we had about 100 people attend. Everyone was happy with the room, food, and service. The room we had and the venue in general appeared clean and well kept. The location is easy to get to right off of Interstate 80. The only very slight problem was the small traffic jam getting... More

After coming to this catering facility for an event, I have some observations. The pros: service staff was nice and attentive to guests, facility overall is nice, main course for dinner was good (not great, but good). The cons: arrived 10 minutes before official start of event, and met by a woman at the door who held back all the... More

I wanted to find a nice place to take the family for a Mother's Day brunch that everyone would enjoy. We had gone to the Stoney Hill Inn before, but not during a holiday, and was pleased with the service and food. I should have realized that when you feed a huge amount of people allot of food, it was... More

Have been to this restaurant many times. Last night's experience was very disappointing. Venue was very busy with parties in the catering rooms. Dining room was not busy. Seemed to be adequately staffed. Service was terrible and inattentive. We were seated promptly and on time for our reservation. Took almost one hour to get a round of drinks and bread!... More

I've been here many times over the years and with only a few exceptions, I've always had a great meal. The place is hopping since it has an active bar and they also do catering. Prices are very high but I've never been disappointed. Good for a business meal.

The Stony Hill Inn is a restaurant of a bygone era that caters to customers who are locked in the late 1980's. Every time I eat here, I think Reagan is still in office. The food and the service are always just average, yet everyone raves about the place. I find the service so-so. Everytime you look for a waiter,... More
