Description: Our first Rosa Mexicano to open in New Jersey is located at The Shops at Riverside in Bergen County. The 160-seat restaurant features a spacious bar and lounge area, as well as outdoor and private dining options. Under the creative direction of architect and designer Timothy Higgins, the decor features vibrant colors such as vivid pink, deep maroon, rich butterscotch and warm yellow. Traditional craftwork and adornments include Oaxacan wood carvings of mythical animals, custom wax-dipped artwork, Mayan Indian textiles, and folk art masks. Tortillas are fresh-made on-site at a station featuring colorful tiles and a hammered copper hood. Through the unique designs and cuisine, all will encounter an authentic Mexican experience at Rosa Mexicano.

I have been here before and thought it would be a change. The food was just average. Service was very good. Atmosphere was nice. Maybe ordering something else would have worked. Guacamole table side looks good.

When Rosa Mexicano first opened on the east side, I was so pleased and frequently dined with friends. However the west side location is not as refine and very noisy. Service is slow inside, so I often just order guacomole and cocktails and seat outside. Back then, it was a novel thing to watch your guacomole made in front of... More

Like the last reviewer, I have been going to this restaurant for ten years. The guacamole is still good, but the sides we used to get with it are now gone. It is understaffed and noisy. It may be under new management. There are dirty glasses in front of new patrons when they come to the bar. AND the bartender... More

I have been going there for a long time mostly for the guacamole and margaritas , but on our Last visit the food was almost uneatable . Absolutely no flavor , my daughter food was as good as school cafeteria's food . The margarita was good as usual so from now on if I'm in the mood for good margaritas... More

My husband and I visited Rosa Mexicano with my sister and her boyfriend. It was our first time there. The fresh table side guacamole is to die for. I had the Skirt Steak dinner and it was cooked perfectly. The skinny margarita was delicious. Great atmosphere, service and food. They also accept online reservations. This is great and not usually... More

Visiting daughter & son in law in NJ and she had booked for an early dinner after a full days retail therapy the restaurant wasn't too busy and has upmarket feel. Started with some excellent pre dinner cocktails then some great nachos together with guacamole prepared at the table. Then we ordered the fish tacos to share with grilled corn &... More

I must give this location a huge thumbs up for their thorough customer service. We were here 3 years ago and were not completely satisfied with the service. I wrote a note to Robert Kingsland (Regional GM) who was very prompt to respond and promised to make things right at our next visit. Our next visit did not take place... More

Rosa's has great pomegranate margaritas. Guacamole is very good. This is not a tex-mex restaurant. If you're looking for burritos, chimichangas and basic americanized mexican food, this is not the place. They have good food with many different choices. Their crabmeat empanadas are excellent. The taquitos are very good too. Main course we've had over the years are beef short... More

It's very difficult for us to drive to NYC without stopping at one of the Rosa Mexicano restaurants. Today's trip was for a "bagel run" and the return trip would be taking us by their Riverside Square location just as dinner time was arriving. We didn't want a huge meal since we expected to enjoy a bagel or two once... More

Great food albeit from a chain restaurant, the at table guacamole is excellent to start with and the choice of main dishes is excellent. Good Mexican beer choices as well..
