Description: Our first Rosa Mexicano to open in New Jersey is located at The Shops at Riverside in Bergen County. The 160-seat restaurant features a spacious bar and lounge area, as well as outdoor and private dining options. Under the creative direction of architect and designer Timothy Higgins, the decor features vibrant colors such as vivid pink, deep maroon, rich butterscotch and warm yellow. Traditional craftwork and adornments include Oaxacan wood carvings of mythical animals, custom wax-dipped artwork, Mayan Indian textiles, and folk art masks. Tortillas are fresh-made on-site at a station featuring colorful tiles and a hammered copper hood. Through the unique designs and cuisine, all will encounter an authentic Mexican experience at Rosa Mexicano.

Quite touristy and a bit pricey, but solid Mexican food. You can't beat their guacamole made tableside and customized to your spice level preference. The margaritas are also top notch and delicious, personally I love the mescalita which has great spice and amplifies the smokiness of the mezcal. The enchaladas are goey, cheesey, and delicious. The amount of food including... More

Service was excellent. The guacamole was exceptional. I had the shrimp and rice dish. Shrimp were perfectly cooked. The rice was a little undercooked for my taste but the sauce more than made up for it.

I don't understand the appeal of this place. It's overpriced mediocre food. The tableside guocamole is good but certainly not the best I've ever had. After going twice, I'm pretty sure I'll never go again.

Went for a good Mexican food with outside seating but were much disappointed with almost everything. The service was okay to below average, to get dust pepper It took 10 minutes, meantime noticed that few tables already had salt and pepper on the tables but not all. Their special appetizer Guacamole en Molcajete is a table side preparation, but for... More

I live in North Carolina and wanted to buy my son & his fiancé, a great surprise dinner, at your NJ location. I had to do this quickly as my son was on his way to celebrate their 7th anniversary together. I called and spoke to the Manager Jasmine Mason, who instructed me how buy an e certificate. She was... I have been here before and thought it would be a change. The food was just average. Service was very good. Atmosphere was nice. Maybe ordering something else would have worked. Guacamole table side looks good.

When Rosa Mexicano first opened on the east side, I was so pleased and frequently dined with friends. However the west side location is not as refine and very noisy. Service is slow inside, so I often just order guacomole and cocktails and seat outside. Back then, it was a novel thing to watch your guacomole made in front of... More

Like the last reviewer, I have been going to this restaurant for ten years. The guacamole is still good, but the sides we used to get with it are now gone. It is understaffed and noisy. It may be under new management. There are dirty glasses in front of new patrons when they come to the bar. AND the bartender... More

I have been going there for a long time mostly for the guacamole and margaritas , but on our Last visit the food was almost uneatable . Absolutely no flavor , my daughter food was as good as school cafeteria's food . The margarita was good as usual so from now on if I'm in the mood for good margaritas... More

My husband and I visited Rosa Mexicano with my sister and her boyfriend. It was our first time there. The fresh table side guacamole is to die for. I had the Skirt Steak dinner and it was cooked perfectly. The skinny margarita was delicious. Great atmosphere, service and food. They also accept online reservations. This is great and not usually... More
