Nice!

Visited a friend in Frenchtown and needed lunch. Small little place in the basement but you can also sit outside, which we then did two days later for dinner. Large menu, with the usual home style cooked dishes, very well prepared and very tasty. They give you complimentary chips and pico... read more

This was our second time dining at this restaurant with our four year old grandson. He loves qaucamole and chips and this place delivers with a very smooth, tasty qaucamole. It is a BYOB but there are very good Mexican soft drinks available. They now offer a kid's menu but the portion sizes are large enough to share. The salads... More

We had a great dinner at Cocina del Sol. We polished off the complimentary chips and pico de gallo in minutes, and figured that was it, but the friendly and attentive server immediately offered another round. And after we finished that, we were offered thirds! Reluctantly, we declined but just so that we might have some room for our meals.... More

This is a great place to have a nice casual dinner. They quality of the food is good, the portions are generous, and the prices are very much in line with what the meal is worth. It's BYOB, so you can enjoy a great meal with friends and not break the bank.

My husband and I stopped in at this place on a sunny weekend afternoon and had a dinner (early) that surprised us with it's high quality and reasonable price. We elected to eat outside because the restaurant is below street level and it was so nice outside. I had an appetizer of a tamale that was perhaps the best tamale... More

We just celebrated my friends birthday there. We were a party of 9 and were in no hurry to leave. I brought a cake with whipped cream icing and they kept it refrigerated until we were ready for it. The food was reasonably price, and there was plenty of it. Most of us took something home to snack on later.... More

Good Mexican food can be hard to come by in some places. Not here however. Location is located downstairs of a street level store, so it has a very neat atmosphere to it. I found it very cool that they had a variety of Jarritos soda available. All the menu items were fairly priced, a decent amount of food for... More

First off Mexican needs beer! Luckily there is a little place to buy around the corner (Wine Italiano-across from post office) that sells singles and a great variety! Grabbed a Victoria, Mexican beer;o), really hit the spot with their chicken burrito with salsa verde. Mmmm! Also their chips and salsa are the real thing, you can tell they are homemade,... More

Ate at Cocina del Sol Saturday night, it has outdoor dining (only 3 or 4 tables, but we ate inside. The food was great, my husband and I love Mexican food. The service was really good. The owner came to our table and said hello, and to others too. Just making sure his customers were being taken care of. Will... More
