Hidden Gem in the heart of Freehold

If you looking for an excellent pizza or dish of Sunday Pasta with meatballs and sausage look no further than San Marzano. We love good pizza and this was great pizza. Must try is La Nonna Pizza!! Very friendly staff and very good service. We are going back very soon

Came here for my sons birthday and was not disappointed! They have a very large menu variety and everyone was more than happy with what they got the bread is one of the best I've had in years of living in jersey and the great service topped everything off! Definitely give this place a shot you won't regret it!!

Excellent food! Their eggplant and chicken parm dinners are incredible! HUGE portions! I love their Pompeii salad and their sauce is to die for! When we moved out of town we were very upset that we would be leaving this place behind. We stopped in on Saturday and let Greg and Eddie know how much we loved their food and... More

San Marzano has quickly become a family favorite. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Freehold they have a wonderful menu for both lunch and dinner.I enjoy eating on their outdoor patio when the weather is nice but the interior of the restaurant is equally as lovely. My lunchtime favorites are the Roman salad and the barbecue chicken wrap- delicious!... More

I was not bowled over by this place. The good: It was clean and the staff was friendly. The mediocre: The food was pretty consistently average. Nothing stood out as especially good or bad. The bread (which, for me is key in any Italian restaurant), looked good, but was kind of bland an soft. The Hot Antipasto contained baked clams,... More

When I think of family celebrations I think of San Marzano in Freehold NJ. For the last several years any event that my friends and family need to celebrate the only place that ever comes to mind is San Marzano! From the first call to book the reservation we are treated like family. We are greeted as soon as we... More

really good food, thought it was a little overpriced, even for downtown freehold. we hd the rigatoni caprese, rigatoni bolognese, and the nonna's sunday sauce. we started with arancini. everything was relish. little loud, it's one big dining room, and they seem to specialize in big parties. all in all good, not sure i'll be rushing back though.

We received a menu in the mail last week and decided to give this place a try. We were floored by how good the gourmet San Marzano pizza was. We also ordered just a regular cheese pizza and it was equally as good. The delivery was very fast (especially on a Saturday night) and the pizza was flaming hot when... More
