Average diner but well-located

I have had breakfast and/or lunch here with business associates several times and its main attraction is that it is very near the George Washington Bridge and easy to find for those coming from New York City. The food was fine, but unmemorable. It's a typical New Jersey diner.

we were there tonight and it was really good, beef stew with veggies. Pork loin and baked potatoes! For the longest time there was not a decent Diner in our town, but it will change now if they keep up the great work ! The only that bothered us was the valet parking situation, but I guess it was necessary... More

Attempted to eat at 'old reliable' Plaza Diner only to find it closed and renovations being done. With further investigation, I learned that they were fined by the Health Dept. for various violations. Not sure when they will reopen.

When we were younger we used to end our nights out at the plaza for early morning (2am) burgers & gravy cheese fries. Years later we still go early, only now is 7am for breakfast. Over the years the plaza has been a hang out, a meeting place and a staple. The food is diner fare of the finest quality.... More

Convenient location offering typical diner food. This place has been here ever since I remember and is usually fairly busy. The staff is usually friendly but depending on the time of day you can get some moody waitresses. Diner prices are not cheap any more but at least the food portions are generous. They have parking in the back which... More

New Jersey is the land of great diners. Plaza, however, isn't one of them. The premises are a bit out-of-date/downscale. The food is unimaginative...the basics done basically. The french fries are those awful food service frozen jobs that don't actually taste like they are made from potatoes. Not worth a detour.

Conveniently located, real turkey in the club sandwich, good burger, breakfast, bad frozen fries, professional, friendly service, pretty good coffee. Best part cheap ok wine and open most of the time. Recommend it if its diner food you want and you're in the neighborhood, its late and you're hungry.

We got in for breakfast; eggs with potatoes and bacon. For the kids they made "dollar" pancakes (never heard of before, these are smaller pancakes). Their food is a far cry from an upscale manhattan brunch, but this is not why you go here. We had a good time, the waitress was kind, the eggs were ok, the coffee was... More

A diner is a diner when it comes to décor - but this one is clean and bright. Favorite things: perfectly done omelets; outstanding and huge chef's salad; excellent Philly cheese steak wrap; excellent gyro (ask for it wrapped); tasty shrimp salad; good coffee; and accommodating service. The new ownership is renovating, which is good, because the ladies' restroom needs... More

This is a good place for NYC folk to meet their friends from NJ. It's open long hours (24 I think) and is just off the bridge so easy to reach quickly from NY (you can walk over bridge -- or take a bus -- if you don't have a car). It has adequate diner food and serves a full... More
