Warm, welcoming, fast and good

Stopped in this week on a cold and rainy evening after a walk across the George Washington Bridge. What a great way to warm up. Had the tofu and spicy beef soup. Beef morsels were small (would have liked them to be a little larger), but were tender. The dish was very filling; with the... read more

I loved this place until they hired some irresponsible non-English speaking employee. Haven't been there since a negative encounter with these waiter/waitress (maybe 4-5 years). However, the management totally changed and it is back to it's roots again! They have very kind waiter/waitress that knows how to speak English. The flavor is back again as well. They had a time... This is the best soondubu place in Fort Lee! Everyone comes here and if all us Asians come here then you know it's good!!! Spicy Mushroom or Beef soondubu and BBQ ribs all the way! The side dishes they offer is so good, from the spicy vinegar cucumbers, bean sprouts, kimchi to the radish. Quick, tasty, filling authentic Korean food!

The good: The tofu soup is very good. You can choose what you want in it and the degree of spiciness. The service is prompt. The bad: the restaurant is small and so is the parking lot. If you hit it at peak time, you may have a problem. Bottom line: Give it a try. If you are tight on... More

Main draw is the soft tofu soup that is so flavorful and on the cheap! The portion is big and could be shared with 2 people easily. As with other Korean restaurants they offered the little dishes of Kimchi and other snacks as starter. The kimchi was good and not too spicy. Another dish I always order is the BBQ... More

We have traveled religiously to So Kong Dong ever since Anthony Bourdain No Reservation showcased this gem of a restaurant tucked in the middle of a small row of restaurant on Main St in Fort Lee. Parking is limited so if you get there early, you're good. Otherwise, you have to wait or park in municipal parking across the street... More

They serve fine tofu stew. There are about 8 different kinds of tofu stew. I tried them all and they are all great! They are even nicer with kalbi which is korean barbequed beef short ribs. Try Gejang if you like challenging foods. It is a fresh raw crabs marinated with chili pepper powder.

Going to get the dislike out of the way since theres only one, PARKING. It's a pain in but worth it!! This place is the BIZZZOOOOMMMB! Simply put, the best soft tofu house I've been to in NJ and NYC in my humble opinion. The grilled kalbi is cooked to perfection, with a taste that brings you back to Korea..... More

Alwas enjoy their food. Tofu and L.A. style short ribs but need to vamp up their service. Atmosphere is not up to my taste. Too loud. Cleanliness is questionable. I rather go to BCD tofu place couple of blocks down.
