Authentic Korean Food

This is the place to go for authentic Korean food. The food is fresh, well seasoned and delicious. Be careful about the level of spice you ask for. Asking for mild spice was sufficient for me because even at mild it was a bit spicy. The condiments are wonderful and very tasty.

My husband and I stopped in here on a Sunday. We were the only non-Koreans in the restaurant which is usually a good sign... unfortunately that meant we received inferior service and treatment by staff. We asked for take out boxes for some of our lunch and the side dishes. She refused to box up the side dishes (didn't we... More

Nowadays, it's overrun by loud and obnoxious customers. Avoid at all costs unless you have eat plugs or are already hard of hearing. Otherwise, the food is still pretty decent. Don't get it to go. The food doesn't taste the same.

I know people will say BCD is the best, blah blah blah but I actually prefer this place better. I usually get the pork with "spicy level" broth and an order of their short ribs or galbi in korean. To me, what really separates this place is their banchan (small tapas plates) especially the spicy pickled cucumber. It's the best... More

I have been a regular here for many years and they never fail to deliver. The tofu hot stew is excellent every time. The galbi portions have definitely gotten smaller while the price keeps increasing, but it's like that everywhere. They are super crowded during lunchtime and you need to take a beeper thing and expect to wait 15-30 minutes.... More

Stopped in this week on a cold and rainy evening after a walk across the George Washington Bridge. What a great way to warm up. Had the tofu and spicy beef soup. Beef morsels were small (would have liked them to be a little larger), but were tender. The dish was very filling; with the accompanying rice and side dishes... More

I loved this place until they hired some irresponsible non-English speaking employee. Haven't been there since a negative encounter with these waiter/waitress (maybe 4-5 years). However, the management totally changed and it is back to it's roots again! They have very kind waiter/waitress that knows how to speak English. The flavor is back again as well. They had a time... This is the best soondubu place in Fort Lee! Everyone comes here and if all us Asians come here then you know it's good!!! Spicy Mushroom or Beef soondubu and BBQ ribs all the way! The side dishes they offer is so good, from the spicy vinegar cucumbers, bean sprouts, kimchi to the radish. Quick, tasty, filling authentic Korean food!

The good: The tofu soup is very good. You can choose what you want in it and the degree of spiciness. The service is prompt. The bad: the restaurant is small and so is the parking lot. If you hit it at peak time, you may have a problem. Bottom line: Give it a try. If you are tight on... More
