When I was in grammar school I used to go to Tommy's for lunch with my girlfriend every Friday. The Pizza is amazing and so is the service. They always deliver and you feel at home.

This is by far the BEST Italian Sausage Sandwich (or Hot Dog) you will get in New Jersey. I've been going here since I was 7 years old and they are still the same. I now live in PA but visit Elizabeth regularly and love coming here. You will not be disappointed.

They have been doing it the same way for as long as I can remember, 40+ years. Potatoes are great. Their sausage is good as well.

Walk up to a window and order a sausage sandwich? Sounds crazy. But that is what you do here. Get your sandwich with potatoes ( they put them on the sandwich) and ketchup. Then grab plenty of napkins, you are going to need them! Small park across the street where you can hang out and enjoy

If you are in the heart of Elizabeth and want a quick bite, you gotta try Tommy's. This place actually fed a movie crew one day, so I know they are good.

Plain & Simple..Tommy's Sausage served on/in Pizza bread with peppers, onions & potatoes is the best around....if you are near or heading to Newark airport it is a short 15/20 minute ride, less if there is no traffic...well worth the trip....make sure you get extra napkins !!! Keep in mind this is a take-out stand, not a sit down restaurant...If... More
