If you want a traditional Italian meal in a very traditional restaurant this is your place. The food is quite authentic and it is frequented by locals who have been going for generations. The staff is nice an attentive and the owner is always there to ensure a quality meal and experience. We have been there a few times for... More

We have been here many, many times over the past years and it is simply our favorite local place It's also the place we take our out of town friends and family or have special occasion dinners (e.g. my 50th birthday). You can count on an excellent meal everytime, freshly cooked with local ingredients. In season, the salad tomatoes come... More

Everything at this place was amazing. We started with appetizers and enjoyed everything through desert. The service was great and the food seemed like home cooking. Thre place is cozy and truly was a great accidental find. I will definitely be back to try additional dishes and get some more cheesecake.

On a recent visit to Elizabeth and looking for Italian food, it was suggested we try this location. It is a small side street location, with their own private parking. Walking inside it seems very small and noisy but also very cozy as well and you feel at home very quickly. The service is very proper and overseen by the... More

Had dinner last week with a group of old work friends, haven't been here in years. Fresh mozzarella with tomatoes, stuffed artichokes, and fried calamari for for appetizers, had soft shell crab francese with capellini for entree. Tartufo for dessert. Everything was delicious. Waiters were very attentive without being intrusive. Parking lot available. It was great to rediscover this old... More

This was the worst food I had eaten all year. Veal for parmesan was a frozen veal patty, the kind with the holes in it. The Pasta had some kind of greasy sauce which smelled bad. No one at my table of eight ate the pasta side. Ragu would have been better,. To be fair the person next to me... More

Sorrento's has been around for ever and John the owner is a wonderful host. Everything is prepared fresh and the menu is varied. There is a parking lot and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is simple and pleasant. Wine list is very good and there is a full bar.
