Surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant

Went here for dinner at it was late and the options are limited around the airport. The restaurant is just off of the lobby with a modernist decor. Both appetizers and entrée were nicely presented and tasty too.

The restaurant is on property at the Renaissance Newark airport hotel. Food selection ranges from sandwiches to steak. They also offered soup and salads. They were open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours. Food was prepared well. Restaurant is clean. Service was good. Price a little high but reasonable for location and options.

Food was OK. Service slow. But served its purpose. Good location for travelers in and out of Newark liberty. Choice between buffet or standard menu items.

We were recommend to go to this Restaurant at the Renaissance Hotel. We ordered a chicken sandwich from Rosemary ( the manager). It arrived slightly cold. Also some of our order was not present and had to flag her down to complete the order. The second items came COLD. About an hour after the lunch my wife got sick and... More

This place was suggested by the fron desk folks at the hotel, we walked in, sat and ordered, it seemed a bit empty and didn't have the "face" of great restaurante, though it was late in the evening already. We had calamary rings and they were perfect, then the main course; the cooking was right where it should be, the... More

Our meal was very expensive for a hotel lobby restaurant, but the presentation and portion and quality was excellent. Ordered the Cuban panini which was huge and one of the best I've had. The crab cakes were a good size and excellent as well.

I've had quite a few things on their menu . . and they're all good. The cobb salad is a MUST! The molten lava cake is a must (plan 20 minutes though)!

Rare to have a "real" restaurant inside hotel! Open late (to 11/midnight) to accommodate travelers. Seafood (crab cakes, cioppino) was great.

If you are looking for one of the best, if not best pork chop, you have to try the Ironbound restaurant located in the Renaissance Newark hotel. The dish is served with house made mango-cilantro chipotle barbeque glaze, purple potatoes, and asparagus ($28). Absolutely fantastic. I will definitely have again next time I find myself in Newark.

Always get the Cobb salad here.....for some reason it is one of the best around. Beer selection is good and is within walking distance of the Hampton Inn next door which is great as I usually stay there. Nice menu selection. Not huge, but has good options.
