Steak on a stone. Great!

We have been here many times. I'm happy to say they removed the salmon which was my one bad experience there. It's been replaced by lamb chops. 8-9 baby chops for $23.99!! Delicious. Of course the filets are still delicious and are so large that leftovers are definite. My only complaint is that... read more

This restaurant is a gem. Hidden away in what appears to be a neighborhood, it is extra close to the airport. I came here with my brother's girlfriend (hoping to be my sister in law!!) who is a chef and she was very pleased. I've been here a total of three times as I work nearby. I can't say enough... More

Excellent food, great ethnic atmosphere. Don't even think of leaving the area without stopping here. Get the steak on a stone if you have time. Sausage was great, steak was great, food all around was outstanding.

This is our go-to when in the Newark area for business. It is as consistently excellent as always. Martinho runs a top notch restaurant with great quality, efficient and friendly service, we keep going back because it is ALWAYS GREAT

This restaurant is always spot on in terms of food. Everything is consistent and the food always comes out hot and fresh. The downside is the service is fairly mediocre. There is always a line, however, you should eat a restaurant without a line because it probably isn't that great.n

Thanks to TripAdvisor, we opted to try this Portuguese restaurant prior to a flight out of Newark Airport. If you can fit it in, it is well worth the visit. Absolutely everything was beyond delicious. We intended to go to the restaurant, not realizing there was a bar and grill also. The restaurant was full so they recommended we go... More

Food is always yummy but as far as service when busy is lacking that attention. although this is expected but i have been in restaurants in the past that there are extra waiters for busy times of the day. So a suggestion for service be there in early part of the day and enjoy their good extensive menu, which can't... More

Valenca has really great food! I cannot really say if it is authentic Portuguese food, since I've never been to Portugal, however, there are a lot of native Portuguese folks there. It's pricey, but I think it's work the meal.
