I am a big critic on food but this restaurant won me over! How can the chef put out so many things on the menu and do it right? My daughter ate steak for lunch, I ate 'Blintzes' don't think any place has this. All main and sides are fresh and quality ingredients. Chef did not put too much oil... More

Edison Family Restaurant is a local hot spot that has a loyal following. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and close at 3pm. We like their oatmeal and soups. The soup is given free with any lunch order. They always have specials that are a great value.

Living in San Diego since 1981, I have "favorite" places to eat when I go back to Colonia to visit my Mom. My first stop on the morning of my arrival (after a red-eye flight) is ALWAYS to Edison Family (or "EFR" as my family has come to call it). Never being a breakfast lover, I'd typically order a burger... More

Anyone who lives in North Edison knows this restaurant because they consistently serve good food. The portions are generous and the servers are all personable. It's a little noisy but a very warm, friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for a great breakfast or brunch.

In North Edison, NJ there is a restaurant that serves only breakfast and lunch and has been consistent during the 34 years we have gone there. The Edison Family Restaurant offers good food at reasonable prices. With every lunch you get free soup and they offer at least 5-6 different choices daily. The soup is extremely good, too! There are... More

Passed by this restaurant for years. Finally stopped in and so glad I did. Breakfasts: so delicious, I love the omelets and my husband loves the wheat batter blueberry pancakes, the blueberries are in the batter and on top as well. The made from scratch soups are to die for. It's hard to find vegetable based soups, but their vegetarian... More

Its crowded and noisy but fun. Service is fast. Loved the blintzes. Mom was thrilled with the bananas and waffles and the western omelet was huge and filling. lots of variety, reasonable prices. Only open for breakfast and lunch.

I’ve come here every once in a while since college. The ambiance is definitely has that neighborhood “Jersey” feel. You come in during lunch time and everyone is in “hustle and bustle” mode. It is as if you stepped into someone’s house and everyone is either leaving or going. Staff are walking around covering orders and people are being seated... More

If we are going out for breakfast, this is the place. if I get home from school at lunch time, I'm there for lunch. Great food with terrific pumpkin pancakes known as magic pancakes. They are the very best! They also have pumpkin waffles and many other delicious food items. I'm working my way through the full menu!
