Come with an Appetite

My husband and I were on our way home from my final fitting at Kleinfelds in New York and we were told about this great deli-Harolds. Well what a deli it is! The selections are all geared to feed 1-3 or 1-5 people. Since it was the 2 of us I ordered chicken soup and my husband ordered a corn... read more

This place offers some really good old fashioned Jewish Deli food. The prices may seem high, but everything you order comes in a completely ridiculous portion size. If you're a couple, you'll leave with enough food to have meals for days. We were a group of nine and ordered the Matzo Ball soup (the matzo ball is the size of... More

This deli is unique. The sandwiches are really mini platters! There is enough meat for 2-4 people to eat - and it costs $25.95! That breaks down to less than $9 per person when 3 split it! The matzoh ball Chicken soup is large too - with the one matzoh ball about the size of a volley ball! Everything is... More

Food is plenty and service is very good. Portions are large - watch the menu carefully to see how many people are served by one order. The kids love the place. Be ready to fill a doggie bag.

Wow........ we were in Perth Amboy NJ for the AAU 12 U 6th grade DI state tournament, and found out about this place after our game. It was 10 minutes away from the site, so we decided to go there to eat. Upon arriving there, the parking lot was full, and I already anticipated a very long wait. So when... More

If you are craving for NY deli, you can go to Edison NJ. No need to travel to NY, Harold's has delicious pastrami, corned beef, turkey sandwiches that are huge and easily shared by two with leftovers. The pickle bar has a great selection with extra bread to make the huge pile of meat into smaller sandwiches. Be warned there... More

From the rather nondescript exterior, you may not be expecting much but as soon as you enter and see the giant-sized cakes and cookies, you should know you are in for an extraordinary experience. The portions are massive, insanely so, yet all of the items we tried were absolutely delicious – corned beef, hot dog, sweet potato fries, black and... More

Good quality diner, but not a place to eat alone as the portions are HUGE even by US standards. A single "standard" sandwich is more than enough for two people and would probably easily feed three. I personally would like to see single sized portions available on the menu. Nice pickle bar is an added bonus. Service is friendly, efficient... More

While visiting relatives in near-by Bridgewater, NJ we wanted to go to a real New York Deli with those piled high sandwiches. Who knew that right in Edison NJ there would be this off the charts DELI? When the water tells you Pastrami on rye will feed two, he's means two big guys. My wife and I both ate off... More

Lives up to its name of giant sandwiches! but should equally be known for its Matzoh Monster ball soup! this is absolutely one of my all time favorites here. have had the pastrami and the bricket, definitely like the pastrami the best. Pickle bar is awesome!!! the Desserts are equally ginormous but just too much cream. their almond horn cookies,... More
