Harold's is not just a restaurant, it's an experience. The portions are unbelievable, from the slices of cake that are a foot tall to the sandwiches that can feed a family to the omelettes (yes, they serve breakfast too) that are quite literally the size of a football. But it's not a case of quantity over quality; the food is... More

Sandwiches were $23 and up. Extremely large portions of meat which needs to be shared; too much for the average person. Same for the sides; we ordered a side knish which was as large as a dinner plate. The pastrami and corned beef was OK, but not as tender as I have had at other restaurants. Free pickle bar. Service... More

Food ... Ok... Nothing to make you give up the good kosher delicatessens... The portions? Well that's another story all by itself... My daughters 6 & 10 years old say " there's no such thing as small here." One sandwich feeds 4 people! I ordered the chocolate layer cake and people stopped to take pictures... Amazing size... The matzah ball... More

Harold's is a great neighborhood deli. The only drawback is that you must go there with at least two people, since the portions served are very large.

Tv's Adam Richmond of "Man vs. Food" called Harold "The Deli Llama" and I agree. The portions are enormous. Sandwiches will feed 4 with more to take home. A knish is 10 inches in diameter. A slice of cake is more than a foot tall. A great pickle bar is included and you should try the health salad at the... More

Harold used to operate my favorite deli of all, Carnegie Deli in New York City. He's taken the best from there and delivers it in this comparatively spacious restaurant in Edison, NJ. Carnegie has always been known for its jaw-dropping enormous sandwich portions and Harold delivers the same here. Today, I got a pastrami sandwich to go. In the small... More

This is a fantastic restaurant located off of Exit 10 on the NJ Tpke. The food is excellent and as good as any deli you will find in NYC. The portions are enormous and of high quality. Don't miss the deserts either. Two can easily split one sandwich and you will still take some home.

1 sandwich is all you need to feed 4 to 6 people and still be eating it for days. The pickle bar was great and I even managed to find one just like MeME used to make in the 1980's

I heard Harolds was a good place to eat. I wasn't aware I should have come with a group! Ordered the pastrami sandwich and was completely caught off guard by the size. I only at 1/4 and gave the rest to some folks at the job. I wish the waiter would have given me a run down on the bread... More
