Four of us just wanted a quiet, enjoyable, somewhat different style of dinner where the food would be good and we could hear each other. Rebecca's was a rare treat. the tables were unusually well spaced apart. The service was excellent. We mentioned the patio table was a bit unbalanced and it was fixed in 2 minutes. We each had... Came here for dinner, booked reservations 15 minutes in advance using OpenTable.com. We ordered the assorted croquettes for appetizers those were yummy.. At the table we all sampled each others dish: main entrees of churrasco skirt steak (generous portion and delicious), garlic shrimp (about 7 jumbo pieces- I could have made this dish better with a better side of garlic... Cuban food, start with the avocado and palm salad, split it because it is ample, then try the savannah shrimp which is crusted with coconut, and very creamy sauce with dirty rice, and don't forget the key lime pie which is made there! a little hard to find because it is the back end of river rd, in the small... The food is really good, but does take some time...but good food often does. The service is average, but the food is worth the wait. There are lots of Cuban restaurants int eh area, but this place earns the best food for me. Great Guacamole, fresh fish...and the pork chops are amazing, but do take 45 minutes+.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I was staying on Blvd. East (a/k/a JFK Blvd. East) in West NY, NJ, and this restaurant was recommended by a friend. It only cost me about $9 for a taxi ride from 60th St. & Blvd. East to the restaurant. It's small with a beautiful décor. I had the Mango mustard... More

The food here is amazing and it reminds me of my mom's home cooking. You have to have their back beans and the Ropa Vieja is an excellent entree choice. Don't Forget to order plantains as they are very tasty and the presentation is wonderful! Our server seemed to lack experience but we were so in love with the food... More

Our table was crunched in between 2 other tables. We were actually conversing with strangers. I don't mind meeting new people but this is not what I expect in a restaurant. The food was delicious but the servers lacked tact and training. One server placed my appetizer utensils back on my table. I had to explain and request to please... More

Rebecca"s Restaurant Is a family owned business with what appears to be growing pains. The food is quite excellent but the service is concerned sporatic. Our waitress was most concerned about our enjoyment of the dining experience, and we appreciated that. The problem began when a lot of people arrived and then the service became somewhat sporatic. If they can... More

We've been to Rebecca's a dozen times for special occasions and have always been pleased with the food and service until recently. On our recent visit, Rebecca was not there but a group of young, apparently inexperienced hosts were terribly disorganized which made for scenes of chaos regarding seating, timeliness, and sacrifice to general courtesy. Service went down considerably after... More
