Went here on a whim and was not disappointed. Ordered my usual Turkish favorites and I have to say everything was tasty and plentiful. Service was great, busy place with lots of repeat customers known by name. Will definitely go back!

Samdan is one of the few good mid East restaurants in Bergen county. Good when you have vegetarian and meat loving people in your party since it caters to both. The bread for starters is good. We've preferred a range of appetizers - Tabouli, Baba Ganoush, Hummus, Tarama, Yaprak (Grape Leaves), Falafal - it fills you up along with the... More

We had an enjoyable meal with another couple. Food was good and place has a nice atmoshere. Prices are average for the area. Portions are ok..not all that large. We had a coupon that they would not accept. I felt that was chinsy.

I've been dining in and taking out from this restaurant for many years, and have never been disappointed - with the meal, or service. The Shepard's salad is always a must have for us, as well as the hot and spicy, but incredibly delicious acili ezme appetizer. For an entrée, we usually have kebab, but the Samdan special chicken is... More

When a colleague picked this restaurant, I was anticipating a greasy hole in the wall. Instead it was a large airy place with tables full of families and groups with big plates of food. Since it was only three of us we were tucked in the back corner by a very cold emergency exit, and the waitress tended to forget... More

What a treat! It has been years since I had Turkish food. Samdan is terrific. We arrived about 6:00 pm and there was only one other couple there. By 7:00 pm the place was full and the wait staff was moving at peak. The service was good, the food was delicious, fresh and satisfying. Now we understand why the place... More

This is a very good restaurant and you should expect a pleasant good meal with attentive service. Samdan does not attempt to reach any culinary heights and true aficionados of Turkish cuisine may be disappointed.

I have been eating here for years and have always enjoyed the food except the last time when the Tavuk (chicken) had an unusual texture as if it were brined too long. Before we went to Turkey we had several different dishes to get us familiar with Turkish cuisine not knowing what to expect there. When we first landed in... More

Great food and service. Nice friendly atmosphere. I have been eatting at this restaurant for many years and it has been consistently excellent. Moderately priced and if you can go before 6pm during the week, there is a nice early bird menu.

Samdan is by far the best tasting Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Food in Bergen County, NJ. Additionally, prices are by far most reasonable compared to the many mediocre and expensive competition. Their mezze selection is extensive, as homemade tasting as can be, and most importantly, absolutely delicious. Lunch and early bird specials are a definite plus on the wallet. Try everything!
