Off the beaten track and away from the Cranford core, this delightful gem of a small restaurant rightly so is typically reserved for several weeks in advance. A refreshing menu that is carefully crafted and regularly updated, it demonstrates the attention, and joy the proprietors wish to share with their clientele. We celebrated a birthday dinner here and had a wonderful meal. Great ambiance with a very welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The staff were so nice and lots of fun. Our server Jenn was terrific. There are lots of great unique food choices. The scallops were tender and tasty, the turnip apple soup was wonderful and the cauliflower zeppoles were so delicious.... More

We were in New Jersey for the afternoon, and unfamiliar with Cranford and surrounding area, but a friend suggested we meet for lunch. A Toute Heure, in Cranford, was the perfect location geographically to meet, and the perfect place to have lunch. It is a charming French bistro, with just enough American influence (local-sourced, organic food) to not make it... More

Food was excellent. Very well presented. Great to be able to bring our own wine. Service was very good. Wish it was a little easier to get a reservation but our dinner was so well worth the wait!

Dined there recently and loved many things about it. Ambiance is terrific, you feel you are in a small country inn. Staff is very correct without being stuffy, and well-informed. BYOB always a plus. I loved the garbanzo beans starter. My husband's pot pie was out of this world.

Food was excellent and I really liked the fact that their philosophy is to source local, organic food. It seems really weird to Europeans that a restaurant as up-market as this has no alcohol license. Still, you can take your own wine so it keeps the cost down usefully.

Friendly service. Food was amazing. Steak and fries... oysters ... olives. And of course the yummy fresh buns! BYOB! Don't forget the tart for dessert.

I went for a birthday dinner with my husband. We were greeted and seated immediately. The owner came over and talked for a few minutes telling us a little about the restaurant and their fresh ingredients and just made nice conversation. My husband had notified them when he made the reservation that I am vegetarian and they offered to make... More

Small, intimate venue (reservations strongly recommended) with delicious food, good service, and BYO. Seafood, steak, and chicken entrees were all great. Nice selection of oysters and other appetizers. Desserts are also worth saving a bit of room to enjoy.

From the time the reservation was made for a Wednesday night two weeks in advance in August, it was impressed upon me they were " fitting us in" at 5pm. From the moment we arrived, the hostess (wife and co-owner?) started off the evening with a nervous and obnoxious tone. We were seated in an empty restaurant that within the... More
