Excellent food and service in historic landmark inn. Charming colonial decor. Wide selection of entrees & appetizers. Fish was excellently prepared. Dinner prices are very reasonable (mid $20's) with generous portions.

This restaurant has changed quite a bit over the past 40 years. The owner is a nice guy and friendly. He keeps his yellow Vette parked right out front. Their wait staff is professional dressing in formal attire. I would say the food went from being exquisite to adequate, but still good. I think they really only need a high... More

We were there for a nice meal to celebrate a birthday, (no candles). The T-Bone was delicious and as ordered. The Swordfish special tasted great, including a seaweed medley as a garnish. (it was good) Add some wine and it was a nice time. We went on a Wednesday and had a good meal, but were surprised it wasn't very... More

But do not go for the food. It is rather sad. Now that's out of the way, this is a not-to-be-missed experience if you like history and atmosphere. The inn has been in constant use as an inn since before the American Revolution, and oozes with history, but in a well-worn favorite shirt kind of way and not a Disneyland... More

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch in May 2014. The Inn is very old fashioned but nice. We arrived around 12:30 and were seated immediately. The service was good & we felt very relaxed & welcomed. My wife & I both enjoyed a turkey club sandwich. Later that week I realized I was charged $297.00 more for... More

Reasonable atmosphere, mostly uninspiring food. Decent selection of drinks with a real bar. Menu selection so so.

Attended a bridal shower. Showers are not known as fave places for foodies. I was pleasantly surprised. Table service was excellent, and the food was top notch, loads of variety, and well done. I will go back for dinner. An old inn with tons of charm in a quaint little town, easily accessible off of Rt. 130.

Very good food and servers were very attentive. I will be back. I found the food well prepared, I had the turkey and the owner was a pleasure and brought out dessert which was a bing cherry pie. Very good all around American fare.

A little neglected, and not up to it as it was. The food is better than usual. The location is part of the history. It is located in the end of town. Keeping the history is costly and distracting from the primary task of food. Go in summer so you can take one of those lovely constitutional walks after and... More

I planned over a month prior to my parents 60th wedding anniversary. I went and met with the owner and was given a lecture on his political views and when I had to redirect him to the event multiple times I was promised a nicely decorated private room, specific music and proper service, this was not provided. At 5:30 pm... More
