Very charming and historic Inn.

The owner Tom is very solicitous of his customers. Food is good and the ambience is warm and cozy. Our professional group has had its dinner meetings several times at the Inn and Tom has always met our needs

This New years eve my husband and I decided to go to Cranbury Inn in historic Cranbury,Nj the atmosphere was very relaxing they had special menu for the evening since it was new years eve.We stated off with Wine (reisling) then on to appetizers which I had was a corn chowder soup which was amazing very creamy and smooth texture.... Went to the Crabury Inn to celebrate the holidays with our friends. Had a very nice time! The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Never rushed. Nice timing on the food between courses. Even though the kitchen got my order wrong and I had to wait (until all my friends were done eating) Matt our waiter was really... More

Went for dinner on Monday night, was a little worried as it was very quiet. It worked to our advantage. Service was excellent and relaxed, was never rushed. It made a nice change as most places just want you in and out to turn over the tables. Food was very good and we ate a lot . Prices was reasonable.... More

We were a fairly large (30+ people) group going for our year-end party. The setting, as many other reviewers remarked, is what you should go for, not the food. Dating from 1750, it is the oldest restaurant (as opposed to tavern) in Mercer County, and the 3rd largest in the country, with a great collection of artifacts from the period.... More

Excellent food and service in historic landmark inn. Charming colonial decor. Wide selection of entrees & appetizers. Fish was excellently prepared. Dinner prices are very reasonable (mid $20's) with generous portions.

This restaurant has changed quite a bit over the past 40 years. The owner is a nice guy and friendly. He keeps his yellow Vette parked right out front. Their wait staff is professional dressing in formal attire. I would say the food went from being exquisite to adequate, but still good. I think they really only need a high... More

We were there for a nice meal to celebrate a birthday, (no candles). The T-Bone was delicious and as ordered. The Swordfish special tasted great, including a seaweed medley as a garnish. (it was good) Add some wine and it was a nice time. We went on a Wednesday and had a good meal, but were surprised it wasn't very... More

But do not go for the food. It is rather sad. Now that's out of the way, this is a not-to-be-missed experience if you like history and atmosphere. The inn has been in constant use as an inn since before the American Revolution, and oozes with history, but in a well-worn favorite shirt kind of way and not a Disneyland... More
