Went for farm to fork week, the food was delicious and there was plenty (it was honestly better the next day though), our waiter was very nice and accommodating but the ambiance was weird to say the least. It was dead and the other waiter brought a bottle of tequila and poured drinks to the other 2 tables in the... More

Obviously the people that rated this place very high do not get out all that much. I found the staff very friendly and our waiter in particular knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was good too. The food was just ok. Nothing we ate really stood out or was something we could rave about the next day. In my opinion,... More

Friendly staff. Above average price for food that's sub-par. Pasta isn't made there except for Gnocchi, which was overcooked. But it's BYOB which was nice.

visiting family in the area and we have been here twice for dinner, both times with a baby. the service is very pleasant and accommodating. the food is good - traditional Italian, reliable pasta dishes. probably not the place to order steak. the special entrees sounded better than they were. (though the gazpacho was excellent). the regular menu is fine.... More

It is hard to give a 5 after only 1or 2 visits. I give it a 4.5. On two visits, the service was wonderful. Jordan and Michael are professional, courteous, informative and efficient. The ambiance is traditional(old school) and pleasant. The food was very, very good. The ingredients were fresh and much of it home made. We shared the little... More

Great experience. We were seated promptly, service and staff were wonderful, food was excellent and atmosphere pleasant. We had dinner with another couple and we were all pleased. We shared appetizers of carpaccio, grilled calamari and sausage with broccoli rabe. Entrees were the evening special of bronzino, veal il villaggio, and risotto with scallops. The portions were generous and everyone... More

When I lived in SJ years ago I remember there was an abundance of byob Italian eateries. When in the area recently for a night I noticed chains have taken over to a large extent. Looking at TA I found had closed, we chose Villaggio from recs on TA. was not disappointed. Reasonable prices, white table cloths, excellent non-obtrusive service,... More

We chanced upon this restaurant since it was part of SJ Hot Chefs week. We went to celebrate our son's 21st birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The ambience is cozy and intimate. The wood-burning fireplace was lit and we were seated next to it and enjoyed the warmth. The portions were extremely generous for all courses. Most importantly,... More
