Excellent Food / Good wait staff.

This is the second time we ate at YB. The food is really excellent and a bit different. I had the crab cakes, which were almost all crab meat, not bread crumb. My wife had the sesame crusted tuna - also excellent and a nice portion. The sesame ginger cold noodles were terrific as was the corn... read more

The décor is interesting with the retro French black and white movie posters. Speakeasy music plays in the background of the small interior. The restaurant is conveniently located on Beach Avenue near the convention center and pedestrian mall. Maybe the Friday night we were there was an off night for YB. We left disappointed. The staff was not very friendly... More

My husband and I have always liked YB for the hip atmosphere & good food. This last weekend we had family reunion in Cape May and without warning sprung a bunch of big tables on the staff- they were great, accommodating, and everyone had a fantastic time. My nephews especially liked the all-you-can-eat breakfasts. :) THANK YOU, YB!!

We liked the YB, but did experience some glitches. When we arrived, loud music was playing and it was a genre not conducive to relaxing; I really was ready to leave. But after mentioning it to the waitress, they did switch the music. The watermelon with feta cheese salad was excellent. The duckfat french fries appetizer was also good, but... More

We had dinner here a few nights ago and as usual, we were thrilled with Everything ! We have been dining here every time we are in town and ever since they 1st opened. I love the "heart stopping "Duck Fat French Fries ! I had the crab cakes which were exquisitely done. Just the right amount of bread -... More

This small, byob place has really terrific food and service. Its right on the beach road. The duck fat fries are absolutely killer, and you should order them as an app or side. Loved the cod with wasabi cous cous too, and the feta/watermelon salad was one of the best versions I've had. This is the best food we had... More

YB is the "younger brother" of George, who has the Greek restaurant down the block. YB has studied cooking in major cities and abroad, and presents this varied menu of meat and seafood dishes. My wife had the cod and said it was as good as could be. It was served with herbed Mediterranean couscous. I had the chicken breasts.... More

I can only comment on the breakfast which was excellent. We ate there twice. This place knows how to make great omelets. Beautifully cooked, creamy inside served with home fried potatoes on the side. My wife had the oatmeal one morning and loved it. They served her a huge portion with fresh fruit, walnuts and brown sugar on the side... More

Y.B. begins another season after a winter hiatus, and it should prove to be a good one. There are still people in the area who say "What's YB?", but those who I have spoken to who are familiar with the restaurant speak highly of it. My wife and I recently went back to avoid the summer crowds. She ordered the... More
