Pleasant surprise while walking around Cape May. We found this place by accident and enjoyed our meal.

I've got an onion allergy and the wonderful team at Gecko's knew that preparing southwestern food often comes with onions. They adjusted the meal so that I could have a fantastic experience. Plus, the mosquitoes were out in full force the evening we went to Gecko's so the hostess gave us bug spray and lit incense to keep the bugs... More

My husband and I ate lunch here on a summer Friday. I had the lamb taco. I wasn't sure what to expect and it sure was a delight. I don't think I would have called it a taco. It had a kind of thick chewy bread slice on the bottom, shredded lamb (think pulled pork) on top, with an abundant... More

At first my family and I were very excited to dine here because the outside area was so nice and the menu was very appealing. Our waiter and the hostess were very friendly. We ordered the food and were extremely disappointed. I got the rellenos which was simply a congealed cheese mixture with a few shrimp that did not taste... More

Really enjoyed the balance of flavors here. My favorite is the Three Sister Quesadilla. Service is friendly and outdoor seating is nice. Prices are great for Cape May and portions are ample. Stop by when you're at the Washington Street Mall - it's just one street over at Carpenter Lane.

It's been a family tradition to eat at Gecko's the first night of our vacation trips to Cape May. The southwestern food never lets us down - always creative and always delicious. It's BYOB which we also like.

We've been to Cape May many times and stumbled on this place looking for a nice outdoor lunch spot. The menu is so interesting definitely not your typical tex mex fare. I had the quinoa salad my husband had the lamb taco. Both so delicious! We started with the homemade salsa...so fresh and yummy! The staff was attentive and knowledgeable.... More

We were seated immediately. Good food, attentive service. Seating very close to others but par for the area and season. The hummus was great!

Gecko's is one of the best restaurants in South Jersey. It is wrong to think of Gecko's as a Mexican restaurant. Those looking for traditional "Mexican" or "TexMex" food won't find it here. This is southwestern cuisine with its roots in many Mexican and Southwestern flavors, but with an inventive, modern flair. By this point we have had everything on... More

We ate at Geckos last evening. We have eaten there for several years. The Ahi Tuna was the tastiest meal I have ever had! Cooked to perfection. Staff and service are excellent as well! The cook truly knows how to prepare the cuisine, which is Southwestern, NOT Mexican, as some reviewers stated. There is a big difference in the 2... More
