Gecko's has returned for the season, and they have brought their very good food and service with them. Gecko's is unique to the Cape May area with their Southwestern cuisine. There are Mexican restaurants in the area, but this food has little resemblance to typical Mexican. The menu does offer a couple of burrito dishes ($18 to $21) and a... More

I recently visited Gecko's on a trip to Cape May with my family. The service was prompt and the server and hostess friendly. I enjoyed a quesadilla from the appetizer menu that was out of this world. My 4 young children were welcomed and enjoyed their fare. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cape May!

I tried this restaurant twice and didn't really enjoy it either time. The cumin was way too strong the second time and it just wasn't that good.

We stopped in Gecko's for the first time last summer for lunch, and were very impressed with both the food & the service. We were seated indoors, (as it did nothing but rain on our vacation in C.M.!) and were promptly attended to by the friendly waitresses. We really enjoy 'Tex-Mex' food, (we eat quite a bit of it), and... More

You'll find good food at this BYOB "southwestern" restaurant with a few twists from the German chef. For example, your dry rub pork ribs have an extra smokey flavor accompanied by german potato salad and braised red cabbage. All of which were very good. The steak fajitas were also good. Again, a lot of smokey flavor, fresh guacamole, sautéed peppers... More

I know someone who once ate a 7 course meal at Gecko's. That's not to say the portions are small or anything (they're certainly not), it's actually just that the food is THAT amazing (and the human involved is a triple-stomached mystery beast). Vegetarian friendly, omnivore friendly. I think there should be a warning on the salad, because it's so... More

black bean and corn cakes are the best thing on the menu but now to think of it nothing is bad. Portions are ridiculously large and delicious, service is always great!

Thanks for the shout out even in our off season. We can't wait for Gecko's to open again and to see all the familiar faces. See you next spring! More

I had not been here for a couple years and returned with my daughter and a friend; we were not disappointed; even a better menu now. I got a new "FAV" for me shredded lamb taco on indian fry bread with awesome sauce......daughter got a pork dish and friend something with chorizo; we were all so happy with lunch and... More

The server was so friendly and made my 4 year old feel very special for his birthday dinner. I ate too many corn muffins with jalapeno jelly before my entrée. The menu was diverse and all looked great. I opted for the ribs and my husband got the rabbit. The portions were HUGE, freshly prepared, and absolutely delicious. Pricey but... More

Was expecting better, given the higher ratings from other customers. Waitress could have been friendlier. Appetizer of shrimp/chorizo quesadilla was very good. Guacamole was outstanding. Salads very very good, nice light dressing. It took a really long time for the main entrees to be brought out, despite the restaurant being not busy at all and both mine and my husband's... More
