We really enjoyed our meal at this lovely little restaurant in the heart of Cape May. The menu was diverse, which was appreciated since there were six in our party and not all were seafood lovers. The meals were plentiful and plated elegantly. The crab cakes were the best I've had in years! Fried oysters were perfect! The fresh baked... More

Several years ago, we went to lunch at Freda's. It was amazing. Great soup, entree, dessert and service. The place looked like it needed a makeover though. Recently, we decided to try the place for dinner. Several of us looked at their on-line menu which seemed reasonable. We made a reservation for a Sunday night and unfortunately, we were seated... It may be small but it is intimate and special! Make reservations ahead of time so you get in. Their food is better each time. Their specials are always incredible! The fried oysters are the best I have ever had!!! Portions are more than adequate. Most of their apps are mouthwatering. It's a must go to place when in town.... More

Incredible fish and crab cakes!! It's a BYOB and since nice sides and a salad come with the meal, it is reasonably priced. We LOVED our dinner and our server was outstanding.

This restaurant is definitely on the small side with tables fairly close to one another. This would tend to limit it as a venue for larger parties and if you are looking for some privacy it might not be best. Like many places in Cape May it can be on the expensive side. We started with an appetizer of coconut... More

Very enjoyable experience. Limited space so you need reservations. Crab cakes were fabulous served over mashed potatoes ! Dessert selection great. Totally recommend this BYOB

Large as life gourmet in a waaaaayyyy too small space. Tables are practically on top of each other. One person in our party had to get up so someone at the next table could get out to use the restroom WHICH IS OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT! You are handed a key to walk around to the back of the building. What?!?!... More

I enjoyed our meal at Fredas, we both had the crab-cakes and they were fantastic They where served over a seasoned mashed potato with a Mango sauce that was outstadning. The place is small but we were seated promptly and the server was attentive and took care of us. Keep in mind this is a BYO and if you like... More

The menu displayed on their website must be many years old -- the prices are $5 to $10 higher than shown. And when you arrive they supply a list of many specials, none of which have prices on them, When I asked, the specials were all over $30. That said, the food was quite good and the service was friendly.... More

No lie, hands down! I've had many crabcakes in my life -- Eastern Shore of MD, Balmer, all over the DelMarVa peninsula - leave it to a little cafe in Cape May, N-J to put out the best there is. I am finicky with my crab cakes and wasn't so turned on by the "mango sauce" when I saw it... More
