everything is relative. this place is slightly expensive , but a downright value in cape may. we split an italian hoagie--$ 8.00, but it had about 3 times more meat than you get at subway. hey, maybe its not expensive after all ! a must stop for food, in back of tourist info barn.

We visited this cafe nearly every morning of our week long trip to order sandwiches and head to the beach. In addition to their menu, each day they have specials that are varied, fresh and flavorful. They are also very accomodating to requests as long as each ingredient you are requesting is already in one of their existing items. The... More

Almost 50 "excellent" ratings? That's a bit over the top. This little restaurant offers good food at very fair prices, but it's not the Washington Inn. It provides a much needed service to those who don't have time to cook dinner, or who just don't feel like it. They offer a limited menu of tasty, home-cooked quality, simple dinners that... More

Dining in Cape May has its challenges, particularly if you are on a budget. There are numerous decent pizza places, and burger joints as well, and there are some very nice restaurants on the upscale side of things. However, there is not much to write home about in between those two. Depot Market Café very adequately fills that void. It... More

While we were vacationing in OCNJ, we decided to spend a day in Cape May. After hitting the Cape May Model Train Museum, we stopped here (saw good reviews on tripadvisor). The woman at the counter was super sweet and helpful. Food was reasonably priced and prepared quickly. I opted for one of the daily specials (turkey burger wrap with... More

We love stopping at the Depot Market for lunch whenever we're in Cape May. I adore their buffalo chicken fingers and always bring some of my large order home with me. There is not a lot of seating there, so don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table during the busy time of day. Great service too!... More

Stopped by for quick lunch carry out on our way back to our B&B and was surprised how tasty and reasonably priced their menu was; service was friendly and fast; this hidden gem down one of the side streets in Cape May is worth the trip!

Have been wanting to try this place for several years, every time we come to Cape May. Finally got around to it today and so glad we did!!! My husband and I went for a late lunch, around 3:00 and we shared a crab cake sandwich and a braised beef sandwich. Oh my goodness, the food was to die for!... More

Cape May has some great dining spots - but sometimes, you need a change of pace. This is ours. Sometimes we go just to see what sort of nutty soup or entree they have on special that day. My wife has now leaned to call ahead to see they have not run out of pot pies. They put a different... More
