Had perhaps the best prime rib ever the other night. Enjoyed time at bar. Server worked with us to get us out in time to see fireworks. Excellent om N all counts.

We were still eating apps when soup came out. Then saw waitress standing on side with our dinners. When she thought we were done she brought them over. By then it was cold. Felt rushed which ruined the evening. Food was not worth $200 for a couples night out.

This was our third time at The Merion Inn. We made our reservations for 9pm as we thought it would be less crowded. The bar itself is beautiful, the piano music charming and the drinks wonderful. When we were seated the hostess took us right next to another party of about four or five people. They were so loud we... More

Last year when we tried to revisit the Merion House it was closed. This year, in wandering by we noticed that it had just reopened, so we made a late reservation for the last night of our Cape May getaway. What I recall from the previous visit of 2012 was great and friendly service, and very good food. This time,... More

Place had some really nice ambiance. Live piano player/singer which was enjoyable with dinner. It was slow season here so not so busy. I could imagine it gets very busy here so I'd make a reservation. All the food was prepared well and definitely fresh. Recommend by my B&B and would go again if in the area.

The atmosphere is full of charm, the service is impeccable and the food is extraordinary. The flavor of the clams casino is so rich you almost knot want your entree to come! The steak and prime rib were choice cuts of meat ,beautifully aged. The crab imperial had tons of crab and subtle rich flavor. Wished for greater diversity of... More

My husband and I first dined at The Merion Inn four years ago, in 2010. Aside from the fact that we were seated in a relatively small, enclosed patio area (inside) and there was a table of people talking and coughing shockingly loudly (everyone around us noticed and was annoyed and/or grossed out), it was a fantastic experience. The Merion... More

Very nice menu, good drinks and great service…all in an historic building you can walk to in season. Check out the original mahogany bar and authentic furnishings. One of the very best in Cape May.

We went for dinner as usual and it was excellent. This place is a nice, cozy restaurant with turn of the century Victorian deco and ambiance. We were seated at a table for two on the porch which was very nice and I think these are the best seats in the house. I highly recommend the Merion Classics on the... More
