I have eaten dinner at Aleathea's every June over the past five years during my annual get together with my in laws and we have never been disappointed. The menu, wine list, service, and ambience are all excellent. The Beef Carpaccio appetizer is delicious and nicely prepared; my dining companions have had the Goat Cheese Salad and Garden Salads and... more

After driving 400 miles and with rain and wind outside, on a Sunday evening, this restaurant was a warm haven. She crab soup, salad, and chicken francais were very tasty and the service staff was friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better treat. It was also fun looking around the hotel at its antiques. more

We went for dinner this summer during a week visit to Cape May and our experience was OK. The main dining room where we were seated was a bit shopworn, and the ocean view we thought we would have cannot be seen from the room. Live music by the pianist was delightful and he was very good. The $8 soup... more

I had lunch at Aleathea's on Friday, Aug. 1----the food was ok, crab cake was delicious, french fries so-so and cole slaw had potential but was drowning in liquid. Coffe was excellent and the service was excellent. However, one very big problem---the restaurant is too dirty. The rug on the floor in the room where I ate lunch was disgustingly... more

We have gone to this restaurant at least 10 times within the past four years and have always found it to be excellent. We have tried other well-rated restaurants in Cape May and found this to be one of the best. Last week, we ate there with 6 other fussy adults and all the meals were outstanding. more

This is not even worth my time writing this, but I do want to warn others before they make the same mistake. You may be tempted to eat here especially during off season. Don't do it. YOU WILL BE SORRY. if you know what good eating is, well, this is not the place. AND WHAT THE _____ IS WITH THAT... more

We ate at Aleathea's during the jazz festival. This is a whole-restaurant one-time seating so it's a bit like a wedding dinner. 3 out of 4 of us ordered "vegetarian" which turned out to be penne and veggies, but it had so much garlic on it, I couldn't eat mine. The gents finished about half of theirs. I was still... more

This was our first time to Cape May and I assure you it WON'T be our last. We selected this restaurant as part of the Dinner and Show promotion . Upon arrival it the decor was elegant & tasteful. This enhanced the atmosphere of sheer comfort and relaxation. The service was wonderful & prompt. The food was excellent. We definitely... more

I've been to Althea's twice: one time was excellent and the other time was average. On both occasions, the crab cake was top notch. Otherwise, the entrees/appetizers were a mixed bag. The Thai chicken (since removed from the menu) and filet mignon was delicious, but the pork tenderloin was pedestrian. If you are traveling with children, it doesn't seem as... more

We enjoyed our dinner at Aleathea's. The piano player created a lovely old world atmosphere which took me back to my childhood. We ate after 8PM and it was quiet and pleasant, no disturbances from young children. I had the crabcake, I did feel that there should be a side dish without extra charge. My daughter loved the chicken with... more
