One of the best places in New Jersey for Breakfast. Great atmosphere, great food, great service! They have a gluten free menu, which works well for my daughter. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the high quality. Get there early (before 9) on a summer weekend, or you may wait.

I visit Cape May at least every summer and the Mad Batter continues to maintain its reputation as an amazing breakfast spot. Generous portions, great service and delicious food are their hallmarks. The waffles and pancakes are made from a fantastic batter that make every bit heavenly. Highly recommend their Eggs Chesapeake (eggs benedict with crabmeat in place of Canadian... More

I had read that a breakfast at the Mad Batter was not to be missed so I made sure we went there. It was a sunny morning and we were seated on the deck. Such a lovely spot! Our waitress took a while to take our order and when she did she seemed very shy. The drinks also took a... More

Expected greatness and ended up with a very average breakfast in this busy, noisy Cape May eatery on Jackson Street. Location is great, place is attractive, service was pretty good but my blueberry pancakes were heavy and doughy, not at all the texture or taste of really good pancakes. My husband's French Toast with almonds was "just okay" and he... More

We stayed at the Carroll Villa and enjoyed breakfast here each morning. The food was delicious, service was great, and even though there was always a crowd of people waiting, we felt like it moved pretty quickly. Highly recommend!

Heard nothing but great things about breakfast at this restaurant so my husband and I gave it a try. When we pulled up in front of restaurant was shocked to see a long line of people waiting to get in. Seeing this we thought for sure it had to be great. After waiting over 1/2 hour on the street before... More

Friends, wy wife and I went here for brunch in July. This was a really nice place and bigger inside than I thought it would have been. The food was really good. Half the group had breakfast and the rest lunch. My lunch sandwich, Greek Chicken Panini, was delicious. I would absolutely go back to this place next time I'm... More

I went with my extended family to this restaurant. I walked in and pleasantly surprised by the nice yet casual decor and ambience. There were 2 people playing the guitar/bass cello. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We had 5 children in all, mostly under the age of 6 y. They had juice/milk cups ready for us before we... More
