I am the husband of that reviewer. I second everything mentioned. The lobster bisque was excellent! Seating in the back (the garden room) was scenic but air conditioned. Be advised there is not dedicated parking here so it is either meters on the street or parking lot.

My husband, son and I went to the Mad Batter for dinner while at Cape May. This restaurant came highly recommended by a good friend of mine and two of my husband's colleagues at work. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is casual and the bar popular. We were seated in the last room which has a window wall looking... More

Ate there last year and went again this year with a group. Great atmosphere but the food was a little pricey for the quality.

We ate here and it was more casual than the Ebbet Room but very good food and nice atmosphere on the porch.

My daughter and I had our breakfast here each morning for our four day stay ... Eggs Benedict, lobster frittata, oatmeal pancakes ... All very good ... Simpler fare such as granola scrambled eggs and a side of avocado were equally generous and fresh. The service was good especially the two young serbian waiters who were attentive and friendly.

My family visited this restaurant on a Sunday morning for breakfast. When I drove by, I noticed there were a lot of people waiting to be seated, which was a good hint the food HAD to be good. We called ahead to let them know we had a group of 7, and they promised to accommodate us - and they... More
