Good atmosphere. We only had bar appys here at happy hour but liked it enough to come back for a nightcap. Good tap rotation. Friendly patrons from around the world. Service was mixed. Cozy venue for singer songwriter.

It was a quiet April night in Cape May and our dining options were limited. But it was also our only night in town as we were visiting for the first time. We walked over to the Mad Batter for a drink and immediately liked the atmosphere so decided to return and try it for dinner that night. The menu... More

Everything was good. Service was excellent. Oj was extremely expensive but very very good. 6 bucks for a large is a tad crazy but it was fresh squeezed. Breatfast entrees very reasonably priced. Would like to try for lunch.

Great Happy Hour everyday from 3pm-6pm! Their pizzas are fantastic, definitely enough to split with someone.

When we lived in up in the North East we frequented America's Oldest Beach Town "Cape May". And no visit was complete without Breakfast at the "Carol Villa Hotel" On Jackson St next to the "Hotel Virginia". I highly recommend the "Chesapeake Bay Egg's Benedict". It takes it to another level [If you are a Sea Food Lover] They put... More

I went for breakfast, sat in the garden area, enjoyed a Gran Mimosa and had eggs Benedict. The Server was very attentive, the food and drink was delicious and the atmosphere was delightful.

We ate at the Mad Batter 3x on out trip - twice for breakfast, as we were staying at The Carroll Villa and breakfast was included, and once for dinner. Breakfast was excellent both mornings. Portions were large - had the stuffed French Toast, blueberry pancakes and lump-crabmeat Benedict. Service was attentive and not rushed. Their Bloody Marys were excellent!... More

We had lunch at the Mad Batter on Sunday, March 16. I ordered a breakfast burrito with flavorless chorizo sausage and scrambled eggs. What was most disappointing about this entree was that it was dripping in grease! Absolutely disgusting and stomach churning a few hours later..... I think that the chef cooked up the sausage in a pan and didn't... More
