Description: Serving fresh simple seafood dishes here on Jackson Street since 1980. All our desserts are made right here each morning. Stop by the Chocolate Bar where we have the most delicious Artisan chocolate being made in the beautiful USA! Call for current hours. Our hostess is here at 4. We do not seat any children after 7pm - that is when we begin adult swim. Have fun in Cape May and thanks for stopping by!

I am a pediatric nurse and I have years of experience dealing with food borne illnesses. This is the first time anywhere that I ordered a fish dish (salmon), and it was brought out at the speed of sound. I noticed right away it was not fully cooked. My husband continued to enjoy his dinner, the waitress said - do... More

An intimate and charming space! It was highly recommended to me, and I HIGHLY recommend it mysekf. The corn chowder was delicious, the crab cakes are to die for. I loved the local fish and vegetables also. I live in Manhattan, and I can honestly say that Louisa's is at the same level of any great place back home. I'm... More

This is a wonderful little dinner cafe. You must have reservations, but the food was great The best we had during our short stay. A little tight, but that was okay. Like most places, it was BYOB and only took cash.

Short and simple. We noticed when we sat down at our table the waitress came over to clean the surface with the same cloth that was used on previous tables. Okay this is done at many, if not all restaurants and cafes; however, I have NEVER SEEN a waitress then lay the utensils right on the tabletop with NO mat... More

This is a really small, family run cafe (with only 9 tables - so make sure you book!!). Louisa's was recommended to us by a local and we absolutely loved it... quirky, quaint, delicious/simple food and reasonable size portions... everything is locally grown or organic and there was absolutely nothing we didn't enjoy! We don't normally eat desserts but they... More

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who is a chef. She was impressed by the freshness of the food, and I would agree--it is fresh. But it is not inventive or extraordinary, though it was good. Still, the cafe is small, tight even, and the prices are high. BYOB, and cash only. Sigh.

Small, cozy place with extremely fresh fish, expertly cooked. Desserts were exceptional. Best to make a reservation as this restaurant is popular with the locals.

We have never had a bad meal and generally visit twice during a week's vacation. Cash only and BYOB. Weekend reservations are a must. Save room for deserts (the bread pudding and peach cobbler) but salads are also great...fresh and awesome.

We have been going to Louisa's for many many years, over 20. Always loved it, best bang for your buck ....until this year. We didn't know it was under new management but as soon as we sat down, we knew something was different. Little changes were noticeable but the biggest change was the prices! We normally go 3 times during... More

Louisa's has long been one of our favorite restaurants. Dishes are prepared generally to perfection. The seafood dishes are allowed to stand on their own with sauces that accent the different types of seafood, rather than trying to overwhelm the dish. That kind of restraint is too hard to find. Desserts are great, with Louisa's Blackbottom Pie off the charts.... More
