Serving fresh simple seafood dishes here on Jackson Street since 1980. All our desserts are made right here each morning. Stop by the Chocolate Bar where we have the most delicious Artisan chocolate being made in the beautiful USA! Call for current hours. Our hostess is here at 4. We do not seat any children after 7pm - that is when we begin adult swim. Have fun in Cape May and thanks for stopping by!

Locally caught

Really liked our dinner here. Mostly locally caught fish. There were a few items on the menu but each was very delicious. Had shrimp with a lemon BBQ that was really good. It was byob and was a very reasonably priced dinner. Would recommend!!

Louisa's was recommended to us as a good place for vegetarians. There were not a lot of options, but there were a few. We had the carrot sweet potato soup which was great. The bread was excellent (and warm). I had the pasta which wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. My husband had the vegetable cakes, which I... More

BYOB with a direct from farm type menu eccletic offerings. Server (Karen) was great and the Bluefish the other couple with us, was very good. We had Vegetable Cakes which were nothing special. The cabbage salad that accompanied the meal was a nice change from cole slaw and very good. I have a feeling most people will experience a "hit... More

The restaurant is very cute, and we had some good appetizers (especially the soup). However, we got four different entrees, and they all came out looking exactly the same. Quick sauteed fish served over brown rice and a vinegar/cabbage slaw. I actually enjoyed the slaw, as I hate mayonnaise drenched ones. However, for ~25/entree, a few small pieces of fish... More

Our group of 4 dined at Louisa’s on a Saturday night in November. The restaurant is very small, only about 7 or 8 tables and the atmosphere was cozy however I was disappointed in the overall experience. Service was basically non-existent. They have a corkscrew on the table for opening wine and the 1st time we saw our server was... More

A cozy eccentric dining experience! Food is fresh, fresh, fresh - the sweet potato, carrot and apple soup was delicious - just thick enough with a balance of sweet and spicy. The crabcakes were bite-size cakes accompanied by a cucumber dill sauce - refreshing and nice counterbalance from the sweet potato soup. Our party decided to each order a different... More

I am a pediatric nurse and I have years of experience dealing with food borne illnesses. This is the first time anywhere that I ordered a fish dish (salmon), and it was brought out at the speed of sound. I noticed right away it was not fully cooked. My husband continued to enjoy his dinner, the waitress said - do... More

An intimate and charming space! It was highly recommended to me, and I HIGHLY recommend it mysekf. The corn chowder was delicious, the crab cakes are to die for. I loved the local fish and vegetables also. I live in Manhattan, and I can honestly say that Louisa's is at the same level of any great place back home. I'm... More

This is a wonderful little dinner cafe. You must have reservations, but the food was great The best we had during our short stay. A little tight, but that was okay. Like most places, it was BYOB and only took cash.
