We have never had a bad meal and generally visit twice during a week's vacation. Cash only and BYOB. Weekend reservations are a must. Save room for deserts (the bread pudding and peach cobbler) but salads are also great...fresh and awesome.

We have been going to Louisa's for many many years, over 20. Always loved it, best bang for your buck ....until this year. We didn't know it was under new management but as soon as we sat down, we knew something was different. Little changes were noticeable but the biggest change was the prices! We normally go 3 times during... More

Louisa's has long been one of our favorite restaurants. Dishes are prepared generally to perfection. The seafood dishes are allowed to stand on their own with sauces that accent the different types of seafood, rather than trying to overwhelm the dish. That kind of restraint is too hard to find. Desserts are great, with Louisa's Blackbottom Pie off the charts.... More

Hard to believe that some folks gave this restaurant a terrible rating, there's just no pleasing some people. If what you're looking for is excellent food, at a fair price, with terrific ambiance, and great service, then look no further than Louisa's, I've been coming to Cape May for the last 12 years, and my only regret is that I... My wife would likely give it a 5 as it was just what she was looking for. Fresh seafood, small, homey restaurant. Think "menu on the chalkboard" and home painted chairs. Great desserts.

Cozy and romantic place. Need reservation. Food fresh and different entrees each night. Always crowded. Located in the Washington Street Mall.

Let's face it: there's no pleasing some folks. Some reviews of Louisa's have criticized the brown rice and cabbage slaw side dishes that come with all entrees. Those reviewers can take their fussy, high-maintenance palates elsewhere. What you will find at Louisa's is fresh, simply yet expertly-cooked seafood (and an occasional chicken and pasta dish). On a recent visit, I... More

I am a local here in the Wildwood and Cape May areas and Louisa's is hands down one of my most favorite places to go! Everything they make is absolutely delicious and all of their ingredients are fresh and healthy. My most favorite items on the menu, which changes due to seasonal ingredients, are the sesame peanut noodles and the... More

My husband and I were in Cape May this past weekend. We walked past the line-up to get into Louisa's and decided to make a reservation for the next evening (Sunday). We were not at all impressed with the quality of the food. I had pasta that was made with canned tomatoes with very little seasoning and a few pieces... More

Charming decor and wait staff, a dozen tables -- cozy but not cramped -- and an appealing menu of fresh, local dishes. The 2 Beach Plum Farm specials we tried were excellent: radish microgreens with beets and spring lettuce mix with grilled asparagus. Ditto the carrot & dill soup as a starter. Ginger sesame noodles with scallions, cucumbers, and peanuts... More
