Outdated venue. Went on singer songwriter weekend in March - they ran an hour late setting up sound... Only had skunky domestic beers. Fish tacos were good. Burger was over cooked and bland. Not worth it with better options available

Great local flavor, right on Beach Avenue, one of the best burgers I have ever had - good service too.

Cabanas is way better Carney's food is not good and neither is the service. Always making people wait without even having a full house. Seems like the whole staff is on drugs.

We stopped in around 3 pm for a bite to eat. We had to order off the lunch menu. I had a cobb salad. Nothing special. Bland. Other half had pulled pork. Mostly an empty roll. The server didn't look too clean and in need of a meal. Felt sort of badly looking at him. Nothing specail about lunch. Maybe... More

Every time we come to Cape May we love going to Carney's for lunch. This time we stopped and had a great lunch again and also had a wonderful cocktail! Pumpkin Martini! It was one of the best martini's that I have had in a long time! Excellent!

The food was just okay, nothing to rave about but not terribly bad either. My tomato soup and lobster toasted cheese was good but the rest of my party were not thrilled with their choices. The atmosphere is a typical bar scene. The service was non-existent. The ladies bathroom was filthy (this was about 8pm). Needless to say we will... More

I have tried Carneys a few times in recent years as I had fond memories from the 70's and 80's, but food not so good and service is marginal. You can get a better meal elsewhere. I am not a big drinker, so cannot comment. There was a performer setting up around the time we finished our meal, so that... More

Not so bad for drinks but dont eat here if you want a nice meal. We only ended up at Carney's becasue all the other restaurants we wanted to go to had no tables (need to make reservations when in Cape may, even during the "off" season) The food and service was poor, should have known fom the lack of... We did the early bird deal before 6pm seating which was $15 pp with a choice of soup/salad, entree which was a very nice portion (salmon and ckn parm) and dessert (choc mousse and chessecake). Service was average. Food very good

Typical beach bar atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks during the happy hour. Chicken parmesan for $18 was pretty good. The $23 crab cakes (2) were pretty tasty and were accompanied with a decent salad and vegetables. I could have had the same meal on the other side of their restaurant for only $15, but did not realize that until I saw... More
