I recently went to Carney's this past Thursday night to see "Animal House" and to enjoy a few drinks with my fellow vacationers (we come down to Cape May every year with about 100 people). We had a great time! Animal House, the band that night, were awesome! I work in the entertainment business and book bands for a living... More

As a group of 10, we were hoping to get anywhere on a Saturday night. The experience was great. Our waitress, Julia, was awesome. She handled every order from older adults to young children like a champ. I got the fish and fries which was incredible. The fish was great with large pieces with very little breading. Prices were average... More

Located at the main drag which is good, pub food was good, must have caught the staff change over , cause the service was bad, had to wait for refill and the bar seemed like it wasn't cleaned in days, you rest your arm on the bar and you stick to it, not to mention the muskey odor. Happy hours... More

Carney's has a great Happy Hour. We went on a Saturday while it was overcast & a little rainy. We were so excited we made happy hour since our beach time was cut short. The happy hour was from 3 to 6. This place had a really friendly staff that provided excellent service. They offered great prices for drinks and... More

We have eaten there several times during trips to Cape May and have always enjoyed the food. Typical pub/bar feel but the food and service is somewhat better than average. I recommend it.

My husband had a great grouper sandwich there, and the fish was fresh caught that day, so it was even better. I had a burger, and that was also very good. The menu had several great choices, and the prices very reasonable! I recommend eating there!!!

Lobster grilled cheese and crab cakes were delicious, although tomato bisque was a bit on the cool side. If we had noted it the waiter would have promptly fixed it, but we were too stuffed to care:) Guacamole w/chips and calimari were delicious and at 5 dollars a plate couldn't be beat. Two dollar draft added up to 58 .00... More

Carney's is my "go to" restaurant for almost 30 years now. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. Some of my favorites - crab cakes, salmon and, of course, the burgers. It's a nice atmosphere and the wait staff is fantastic.

We got to town 9pm and were worried everywhere would be closed. Luckily the town stays open pretty late. We randomly walked in here because the menu looked good. I had a turkey club sandwich which was pretty good, however, too much meat for my taste. My mother had a crab cake sandwich which she said was okay. Nothing too... More
