Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

Attached to the Congress Hall Hotel, this is a historic site with good farm-to-market meals and friendly service. Good craft bear; delicious hamburger; good salads. Not fancy but top notch.

My husband & I were staying at Congress Hall and had breakfast two mornings here. We had Eggs Blackstone, which was our favorite, Blue Pigs in a Blanket and the Seaside Omelet. The cheddar biscuits were delicious! The service was attentive, and our coffee was also filled. We sat on the enclosed porch both mornings. $30-40 for the two of... More

Blue Pig Mac & cheese is to die for! fish & chips and other fancy gourmet fare round out the menu. I don't go there for the gourmet stuff, but it looks pretty good too.

I got the "Blue Plate Special" of fried chicken which was very good. The salad was very tasty and not run of the mill. The chocolate mousse dessert was to die for. Our waittress Flossie was very knowledgable and friendly.

Nice casual and cozy atmosphere, very pleasant staff, but unfortunately the food was just ok, which is not really ok at these prices

We stayed at the Star and dined here during a little getaway in between Christmas and New Year's. Everything we ate during the meal was delicious, I started with New England Clam Chowder, and my husband with Potato Leek Soup with Bacon. For the mains, I had a burger which was done to perfection, and hubby had the hangar steak,... More

This restaurant located in Congress Hall offers qualify food for a somewhat higher price. The pancakes and waffles were prepared just right and delicious. The fruit was in good shape and nicely presented. The breakfast meals are a little overpriced. Since we went during the Christmas season, the restaurant was decorated festively and warmly. Our waitress was attentive to our... More
