Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh...
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

Pleasant breakfast

This is a charming breakfast spot in a wonderfully historic Cape May hotel. The food was tasty and the waitstaff attentive.

We were in Cape May for only 3 days so we tried to make the most of it. This place was recommended by the hotel we were staying at, The Ocean Club. It was wonderful. The dining room had indoor, outdoor and porch seating. We were on the porch which gave us a great view of the the patio and... More

My husband and I had breakfast and dinner at The Blue Pig Tavern and we enjoyed both. I like the fact that they use Farm Fresh eggs and fruits and veggies. All were delicious. We enjoyed our dinner the atmosphere was cozy. We both had steak that was perfect. Service was great and the servers both times were friendly and... More

An early May excursion to Cape May we found our way to this yummy farm to table restaurant. The evening was a bit damp so we were pleased to see a roaring fire going. Three of us do not eat grains and get sick with gluten and the restaurant was very accommodating at subbing in veggies. The food was not... More

After a long day of walking we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. I had the pot pie (it is listed as vegetarian but they will put roasted chicken in it) with their own fresh farm vegetables. Another morning we had breakfast at the hotel and were pleased to see it was priced in a reasonable fashion. Some resort... More

We were staying in the sandpiper apartments and the Blue Pig was the obvious choice for breakfast. The menu suited everybody, I am not mad about cooked breakfast a and opted for the yogurt and granola with fruit choice and this was very fresh and delicious. The cooked breakfasts looked excellent although it would be helpful if asked if the... More

We ate at the Blue Pig Tavern for dinner and it was just OK. First of all, we ate on the porch and it was very loud. My wife had the Swordfish, which was very good and I had the Pulled Pork Shepard's Pie and I was disappointed with this dish. The pork was very dry. The service was good,... More

We had a late dinner at the Blue Pig Tavern over Mother's Day weekend. The place was packed so we were seated outside. The outdoor patio is very enjoyable and a good choice for families. Clams were good. We also ordered the scallops appetizer. The scallops were very well prepared. Unfortunately It came over red cabbage which brought the dish... More
