Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

We ate dinner here the night before Thanksgiving. I had the meatloaf which was delicious, my husband had a burger which unfortunately was very over cooked (he asked for it medium). Service was good. Nice atmosphere though a bit dark in the corner we sat in.

We just returned from a stay at Congress Hall. This restaurant is located at the hotel and it is fabulous!! Our waitress was extremely pleasant and attentive. We were seated in the main dining room by the fireplace...very romantic!! Our meal was delicious!! We will definitely be back next time we are in Cape May!!

Blue Pig gets it right all the way around; great food (very creative and balanced to the seasons thanks to their relationship with their sister farm) and beautiful, charming atmosphere. I saw reviews that complained of service but our experience on a crowded Saturday evening was top notch. Varied menu including vegetarian options, seasionally minded specials menu, creative drink menu... More

Rustic with all the charm you'd expect from a Cape May restaurant. Wonderful food accompanied with a delightful staff. From their seafood to steak, you can't go wrong! Also recommend talking a stroll through their hotel Congress Hall, loaded with lots of great pictures and history. Great evening!

We were doing a walking tour of Cape May on a beautifully sunny November Saturday. At our half way mark we were near the Blue Pig Tavern and decided it would be perfect timing to have a light lunch. Our server was not spot on but OK. The drink I got, the belini was delish! We both got sandwiches –... More

This is a great location for Sunday breakfast. The enclosed terrace is light and airy. The service is impeccable. Here is a restaurant that gets the hollandaise right! The eggs Benedict were delicious! They even make their own cheese biscuits! My husband had eggs and scrapple. We were puzzled because the scrapple tasted a bit like fish. They may want... More

Went to Cape May for a long weekend and planned to have lunch in the Blue Pig in Congress Hall upon arrival. We enjoyed lunch here once before and thought we would try it again. This is a pub/colonial style restaurant that offers casual dining which we like when we're away for a few days r&r. Food was so good,... More

The food and the service here were great. We asked to share a salad, and they even served it on two different plates for us. I also loved the decor.

Lots of restaurants have good food, but few have a waitress like Flossy. We thoroughly enjoyed the food at The Blue Pig. But, as we walked and talked our way back to our hotel, we talked more about Flossy the waitress than the food. The restaurant should have a life-size, cardboard cutout of her outside the entrance. She is a... More
