Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh...
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

So my partner and I decided to have a late dinner so a half hour before they closed they allowed us to sit. The decor was beautiful and rustic. We started off with a drink recommendation from our beautiful and attentive server Flossie which was a blood orange martini which was so good. Then it was the mussel app and... More

Great first night dinner since they accept reservations. Food was solid and the choice of local beers was great.

We sat outside at this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and fresh. It is a farm to table restaurant. I had the salmon which was great. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips and my dad enjoyed the meatloaf

Waited a little extra time to sit outside. Well worth the wait. I think the food is well priced for the atmosphere. Service was great. ALL the employees are better then great. It's a shame the hotel is so over priced with such a great restauraunt.

We love this restaurant. It is absolutely amazing and we go every time we are in Cape May but they need to bring back the shrimp and grits!

The girls & I (4 of us in Cape May for a girls weekend) had breakfast here on a Sunday. We sat outside. It was a perfect experience! The service was great, the food even better. You won't be disappointed. We had omelettes and eggs Benedict. Great experience overall!

On a recent 5 day vacation at Congress Hall Hotel in Cape May, NJ, we had 4 breakfasts and 3 dinners at The Blue Pig Tavern. All were excellent and the BPT remains our favorite restaurant in Cape May. Much of the food, especially at breakfast comes from the Hotel's (Cape Resorts) own Beach Plum Farm. The eggs are almost... Pleasant dining outdoors in cape may. We arrived for our reservation early and was seated right away. Our waiter Robert came over immediately and explain the specials. The restaurant has an affiliate with a local farm which delivers fresh fruits and vegetables. We had the zucchini salad which was delicious my main was fresh shrimp over a creamy risotto paired... A few years back we had a bad dinner experience but I am happy to report that I visited with my family for brunch and we had a nice experience. Early in the day, it is not too hot so it is perfect for sitting outside under the umbrellas in he courtyard they have. The menu was a good brunch... More
