Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

High end service, a little over priced, but the food was very good. They didn't rush you, but I missed not being able to look out at the water.

Food is good not great. Outdoor seating is relaxing. Service isn't always consistent and needs improvement. The seafood and fish dishes are good - recommend the shrimp and grits.

The Blue Pig is a must for a great fresh dinner with many food items grown fresh at their farm. It is attached to the Congress Hall hotel so a nice stroll through the place is a great idea. We have eaten on the porch and in the courtyard and enjoyed both. Our waiter, Eugene, was very helpful. The salads... More

Plenty of choices for any taste. We were able to get a table outside. The waitress was pleasant. Delicious roasted beet salad with goat cheese and glazed pecans.

We were thrilled that we were able to get a last-minute reservation at this popular spot in the impressive Congress Hall Hotel. Our server was great, and the food was excellent. The bread, crab cakes, and pasta were all top notch. We would certainly return there.

This restaurant is in the Congress Hall hotel in Cape May. Congress Hall is a beautiful place that takes you on a time warp. It is almost 200 years old and has an amazing atmosphere. The restaurant Blue Pig was a great evening with great food, great atmosphere and great cocktails. I would recommend it highly if you are looking... More

My wife and I have stayed at Congress Hall for many years. Last year we ate at the Blue Pig for breakfast. The first time the food and service were horrible. We went the second time because we had a voucher and wanted to give them a second chance. Still horrible. After the trip I contacted the General Manager who... More

We had breakfast on the outdoor patio - our server was very nice but the food was very slow in arriving. My potatoes were overly salty and my son and I could not eat them. My poached eggs were more soft boiled and my bacon was rubbery. My son ordered a waffle and it was overcooked and a bit tough... More

IF you just want a nice meal, all american fare, this is the right place. Service is usually consistent, food always is! No matter which room you dine in, this place makes you feel like you have been to Cape May. Their other restaurants are also very good, the property is fun to walk around and read about the history.
