Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

Always, always, go here for our special dinner during the vacation stay. Such a quaint, but unbelievable dining pleasure.

Imagine, having 3 young children at home. Finally earning a 2 night getaway to beautiful Cape May NJ. Now, carefully choosing a restaurant for one of those nights based on atmosphere, menu choice and hopefully reputation. We couldn't wait to eat at the Blue Pig Tavern after stumbling upon it our first night in Cape May we fell in love... More

We were seated promptly but our food took 1 hr. and 6 min. We were so looking forward to eating here but extremely disappointed. The prices were good (by Cape May standards) but the food was OK. We usually like to give places a second chance but we will definitely not be coming back to this place.

We accidentally happened to find ourselves at the Blue Pig Tavern when someone in our party made a reservation at the wrong location (ok, I'll admit it, it was me). Let me first start by saying that the food was very good - We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We also had very good service, which I see from other... More

Despite a reservation it took hours to get a table and our food. Quality of the food was good but overall feeling was not OK

We so love the blue pig at congress hall in cape may. The menu is diverse and has something for every appetite. They serve late into the evening and the outdoor seating is cozy and very family orientated.

This ended up being the most expensive meal in our week in Cape May and we got a burger and a chicken pot pie. The burger was ordered medium but came very well done. Very disappointed in our experience.

The food here is fantastic. We love this place, and every time we go we are still a little surprised that it is actually cheaper than many of the other restaurants in Cape May. .

Beautiful setting in Congress Hall, Cape May. We always enjoy the outdoor seating. Our most recent visit was on a Saturday but the patio was not crowded and our server was very attentive. As I looked around, I was surprised it was almost all adults dining. But as we sat enjoying our champagne, a costumed blue pig visited our table... More
