Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

One of the fun outdoor places to eat in town. Perfect weather, relaxing ambiance, friendly staff, and solid menu (and drinks) made this a must stop for us the next time we're in town.

The wait for food was too long..the waiter was not very friendly.....and most of the food was very very average. Sorry we wasted our time and money........we had a large group so the bill was quite large . And when I left the restaurant I was ill. Do not order the crab cakes.will never go back there.

I really wanted to love this place. It is in a gorgeous setting at Congress Hall. There is understated elegance here. We went on a Tuesday evening and were seated outside promptly. Ordered some drinks, so far so good. Excellent lemon cucumber mojito. Too bad that was the highlight of the meal. We went with 4 kids and it was... More

If you are looking for a high end breakfast and to skip the pancakes, this is it! And, not to mention and entire page - on the breakfast menu - dedicated to delicious breakfast-like cocktails. We had a special celebration and started the day off with fresh food, good ambiance. Service was slightly slow, but we were not in a... More

I visited Cape May on a day trip with my sister and we stopped here for lunch on the patio. Several families and groups were present, it was a fun atmosphere. We had sandwiches and tea and enjoyed the beautiful weather outside. I enjoyed learning the history of hotel and the elegance it has maintained throughout the years is endearing.... More

Been here before and had to come back, we wanted to reenact a photo from about 10 years ago. Like the cocktails, napkins and placemats are a gorgeous color (bought napkins in the shop the next day). Ordered a raw bar platter as an app, all was good. Ceviche was good, had more at the Veranda bar the next day.... More

Indoor and outside seating adjacent to the beach at a high end old Victorian hotel with a really unique menu and great service. My wife and I went on a weekday night at 6:30 pm mid August. It was busy and reservations were needed. We had cocktails followed by appetizers, main course and desserts. The items were selected to fit... More

We had a great breakfast at the pig with a really nice upscale menu. Stuffed french toast with mascarpone to die for ! Service left quite a bit to be desired for coffee etc., and had to go looking for my own on a non weekend. Was surprised by that. But great views through the windows overlooking the courtyard. Suggestion... More

My husband, two older teen sons, and I had brunch here on a recent visit. A return for us. Congress Hall and The Blue Pig Tavern are favorites of ours whenever we visit Cape May. The food is good if not memorable to us self declared "foodies". The outdoor dining area is so pleasant in fine weather. The hotel and... More

The food was good but such SLOW service! The waitress took a long time to bring our drinks. Apps followed shortly but a very long wait for main course. Then we had to send back an order for well done burger that was very pink. That was taking sooo long we finally told waitress to make it to go. Our... More
