Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh...
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

We returned time and time again while on vacation for great food for brunch, lunch and dinner. Outdoor or indoor seating and pleasant staff rounded out nice meals.

Beautiful outdoor seating paired with above average food. Chef gets bit too creative with ingredient combinations and has a penchant for piling everything on top of each other which can keep the dish from shining. Always one dish is our selection that is off so while food is very good it's not always 100% dead-on. But compared to other locations... More

A mainstay of Cape May! We always enjoy dining at the Blue Pig. The food is consistently good. Winter or summer, a sure thing.

place was crowded, even with reservations, food was mostly good, (there was a delay because someone misplaced the order, and they had to reorder it for the cook staff. The waiter and manager were very apologetic, and the food did come shortly after that, but watching people who sat after us, have their dinner and were into dessert.... well. also... More

The Blue Pig is a fine dining establishment at the Congress Hall Hotel in Cape May. Seating is either indoors or outside on their large patio, protected with umbrellas. They have a full service bar. We have been coming here for years. They serve primarily seafood, and prices are commensurate with other fine dining locales in Cape May/

I dined at this restaurant with my family. On a positive note, it allowed me to bring my pet. On the negative side, the food on the menu ie meatloaf did not reflect the food we received. The waiter was inattentive and never checked on us during the meal. My suggestion is if you have food allergies or food sensativities... More

I was not thrilled on this restaurant but it could be because I am a vegetarian and there were not many choices for me. I wanted to try something different while staying just across the street at The Star Inn so my mother and I had dinner here. It's a lovely place and our server was VERY nice. Truthfully I... More

Love the Congress Hall serveware, its history documented nicely on placemats. The decor is charming yet fresh and the coffee is good, but the best part is the strawberry pancakes, sprinkled with powdered sugar with warmed real maple syrup.
