Atmosphere is awesome and food is beyond delicious Staff is excellent. Great place for a special dinner.
The food, when I finally got it, was tasty and adequate, but it took forever to be served. They aren't inattentive, just over capacity. I tried to eat breakfast here but they told me the kitchen was overwhelmed. Fortunately there are a lot of place in 3 minute walking distance that you can get to.
We liked this little tavern, with lots of history located in Congress Hall. Chicken ceasar pita was excellent, staff friendly, very good location. Reasonably priced!
The decor was nice and the food "good", but not worthy of the high prices. The crabcakes were good but not worth $30 with a side of mashed potatoes and some lame forgettable vegetables. Burgers are $15 and if you want BBQ sauce (considered a "premium" topping) it's an extra $1.50? Really? I'm willing to pay high prices for great... More
I recently enjoyed brunch here with my family. The decor is simple and unique, and the food was presented in such a beautiful way. I dined on the stuffed blueberry mascarpone french toast. My kids enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes in the shape of little pigs. We have already made reservations for Mother's Day. I can't think of a better way... More
The salad was good, but the entrees were over-salted. The service was not very attentive. I would go back for lunch, but the dinner just was not up to the price. Also, it wasn't the fault of the restaurant, but a large party sat so close to us that we could no longer have a conversation due to the noise.
New enclosed porch allows you to feel like you are sitting outside, while you are enjoying the warmth of the inside! Also provides great views of historic Cape May and the sunset.
We had dinner in the Blue Pig on Monday, March 17. I ordered the baked chicken with spatzle ~ it was ok but nothing great. Actually, it was rather flavorless and dry. I also had the hard boiled eggs and did not care for them at all. They were much too salty for my liking. My husband ordered the oysters... More
This was our first visit to Cape May and, being Sunday lunch time, we were limited in our restaurant choices. The Blue Pig Tavern did not disappoint. The Sunday brunch dishes were well prepared and the service was prompt and courteous. It was very interesting reading the history of the tavern and hotel while we dined. It may not be... More
We vacation and visit Cape May often and have eaten in many of the restaurants there. My wife and I took our children here for a Christmas Dinner that they advertised and required advanced reservations. When we arrived and ordered our food it was just 'ok'. What really disappointed me and made me angry was that when it came to... More
