Description: The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh....
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

Good food.

The food was good but pricey. We went with friends and each enjoyed our meals. We would go back to try it again.

We ate two breakfasts and one dinner there. The meals were very good but the service was slow and sometimes the coffee was not hot. For dinner, the tavern was very dark and it was impossible to read the menu without the aid of a cell phone flashlight. When our dinner came, it was impossible to see what we were... More

Had breakfast here. The coffee is strong and the eggs with sausage were delicious! The pancakes are a bit thin but they do come with heated syrup. Service here is outstanding. Most of the staff are from another country learning the hotel business, so you are bound to have a waiter/waitress from another country. They were it proud on their... More

Food is OK, better than most in Cape May with fresh items coming from the Beach Plum Farm. Kind of expensive for what you get. Service was really, really poor and the place was virtually empty this evening. For the additional items, below: The bar is separate, adjacent to the restaurant, in the hotel. Outdoor seating when the season permits.... More

We enjoyed breakfast at the Blue Pig Tavern. The Beach Plum Farm Benedict and the Vegetable Omelet were wonderfully flavorful. We appreciate that the Blue Pig Tavern uses locally grown vegetables and free range eggs from the Beach Plum Farm. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the warmth of the glass enclosed porch on a cold morning. We look... More

You can't beat sitting in a cozy room warmed by a fire on a cold autumn night! Delicious dinner of comfort food like roast chicken or seafood or a big juicy burger. This is a great spot for a drink at the bar or a romantic dinner with your sweetheart or a fun night out with the girls!

Food was very fresh, we sat out in the glassed in porch area, very nice to see everyone walking by in the evening. A little expensive.

Upon being seated I let the waitress know that I have a severe allergy to dairy and asked her to check the ingredients on two dishes. She returned and let me know that the calamari contained eggs so it would not be dairy free. Umm, seriously? This made me want to jump up and run out of the restaurant as... More

It was a cold Monday night and the fire was inviting so we stopped in for the blue plate special. The food, service and fire were very good.
