First off in the summer this place is fun and there are many places to sit and eat different seafood, one is a boat! You can walk around an pick out your spot. In the winter you are stuck with the ONE restaurant and bar. There is also a side dinner type place that is very cheap and great for... More

This place has survived fires and floods like no other. Lots of photos to show how they have overcome disasters. Many locals eat here. On the marina, very pretty. Good for families, not romantic, very New-Jersey-Shore style seafood house.

Went to The Lobster House to renew past great experiences and was completely underwhelmed! Very disappointing--service was lackadaisical and food quality was poor. The salad was wilted and brown, the pan-fried cornmeal crusted flounder was lukewarm and flavorless and the baked potatoes were sent back twice because they were not fresh. They were brown inside from being reheated. Didn't send... More

First thing I noticed was the musty smell (it wasn't the smell of seafood). The food was ok, I didn't rate the lobster bisque it was just too thick. The people in my party said that their food was ok. The service was slow even though we arrived when we were only one of a couple of parties in the... More

this place is very nice, very large and the waitresses wear horrendous dated uniforms. We actually ordered our drinks in what I believe is one of a few bars in this place. We took our drinks outside and sat by the dock where all the fishing boats are left. It was a beautiful afternoon for a November afternoon and we... More

Still one of my favorite restaurants in NJ or anywhere...Long tradition of Family ownership. Been there several times over the years and the food and service are consistently excellent!

I had the lobster salad plate and it was nothing but lobster. Cole slaw and potato salad were also excellent. Service was a bit slow even though they were not busy at the time. My friends had the shrimp salad and it got an excellent thumbs up as did the tuna melts. Ambiance is dated and could use an update.... More

we first started going to The Lobster House in 1979, when we were college students spending our summers working on the Wildwood Boardwalk. At that time, The Lobster House was one of the few really nice restaurants in the area. We have wonderful memories of great meals and cocktails on the schooner. Back then, the long bar had goblets of... More

Of course the seafood was great, seated right away. The view was limited according to the seating but service was great and had a wonderful meal!

For the money: NO. Dated building. Dated cuisine. Nothing has changed in YEARS and everything looks dirty and feels sticky. You literally walk by the garbage to get to the front door of the restaurant. Sorry, Lobster House, but you need to spend some of the money you rake in on a remodel!
