On any Summer day the Lobster house is worth the trip down to Cape May. Yes there is usually a wait but it is usually tolerable. I've always enjoyed the seafood combinations (broiled of fried) We usually order at the counter and then eat outside along the bay (next to the schooner and Raw bar). Pretty much any visit we... We enjoy the outdoor restaurant and bar. Inside it is just too crowded. We have had lunch and drinks outside and really enjoy the people and watching the yachts and boats coming in. The staff is very young, and the last time we were there 4 of them called off which left one girl to manage the bar and they... More

This is always a fun place for dinner in Cape May. The food here is very good at a very reasonable price. The drinks here are also good they put a decent amount of booze in the mixed drinks. Also the view is nice you can watch the boats come in and out of the marina. The service was fast... More

We ate hear years ago and looked forward to eating out on the boardwalk. It was a disappointment. We got food from the raw bar. Should of stuck to raw seafood. The raw oysters were great. The soup was also good, snapper and crab. The jumbo crabs were cooked sometime earlier in the day and then warmed up.Not how you... More

Famous for Lobsters, mine was tasteless. The Lobster bisque soup was much better. Disappointed for such a "popular" restaurant

The Lobster House is good, but not great. It's typical fare in a unique atmosphere that includes a "ship" you can sit in. There is often a huge wait to get in here and I'm not sure why, it's just not that good. Service is good and although the food is ok, we feel at this point it's as though... More

With three different dining setting options, ranging from eating on a boat outdoors, to an indoor dining room, the lobster house was great. My boyfriend was able to order and entire lobster and crab for a decent price. We chose to sit out on the deck near the bay, which made for relaxing scenery and a sea breeze. Pitchers of... More

The lobster house was recommended to us. We arrived about 4:00 and there was a long line of people queued up through the bar waiting for a table when it opened at 4:30. We got seated upstairs and had a nice view of the marina. Our waitress Amber was sweet. We ordered soft shell crabs which were bland and served... More

We eat at the Lobster House on our annual vacation to Cape May. This was my third time dining at this restaurant. We usually sit outside on the schooner but we ate in the dining room this time and we were not disappointed. We still had a good view of the water and boats. Our son was asleep in his... More

Nice, handy docks alongside to tie up the boat and climb ashore for some take-out. Would have used the outdoor seating but didn't quite trust the Lab puppy that was with us. So we picked up our double order of fresh clams and oysters rockefeller from the raw bar. The oysters are the best, sweet and fresh. Ate on the... More
