Went there yesterday for dinner. Had awful stuffed flounder, dry tasteless stuff, and perhaps the worst thing I ever ate. I have also had the worst lobster ever there. Never goin back again.

I ate at the lobster house in June of 2013 and I was definitely not impressed. I had friends and family brag about this place. If I went to cape may I HAD to go there. So my boyfriend and I did. The menu was expensive and the food was not that good. I definitely won't be recommending this place... More

We dropped into the restaurant 3 minutes before closing on Christmas Eve. Only the food from the bar was available, but that was more than sufficient due to the outstanding quality of the clam chowder and crab cake sandwich. What better way to grab a quick bite to eat in Cape May.

LH is average but always the same. If you order flounder in July or January is is the same which is REALLY hard to do when you serve so many meals a night. Worth a visit when in Cape May! Can get REALLY crowded in summer.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants! We always eat here when in the area- unfortunately that is not as often as I would like! However, I have never been disappointed with a meal here! Bonus of going in December is the wait was only 45 minutes on a Saturday evening as opposed to over 2 hours in... More

We visited Cape May in March. We have been to this city and restaurant many times. We always make a point of eating here on the way out of Cape May. The restaurant is large, the staff very friendly and accommodating and the food is uniformly excellent. Some things on the menu are a little overpriced but then you just... More

I used to come here fourty years ago as a teen living in NJ. I liked the place than, but tastes do change. After reading some reviews, I was a bit reluctant to return, but my wife and I were looking to have a cocktail before lunch, and we found very few options. We opted for the bar. A classic... More

stopped as we always do at the Lobster House. Such a lovely setting and good staff. Had the lobster salad plate which was fine (not memorable but really fine). Tried the clam stew ....tasty but very very overpriced ( I think $7.95) for three clams. Won't do that again.

In December on a Monday night there aren't many restaurants open in Cape May. The Lobster House was a pleasant surprise. The ambiance was cozy on a stormy night. I had a special: lobster/crab cake--it was delicious. My husband had scallops. Both of us were pleased with our dinners. Our waitress Leyvinid was very cheerful and an excellent server. We... More

The restaurant was recommended by my sister-in-law, since members of her family come often. It was one of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. The service was very good and the food was excellent. I will be going back my next opportunity.
