Our visit started outdoors with some appetizers and a cocktail. The calamari was not fresh so we did not order any more. For dinner I had salad, fried scallops and chowder. Rest of our table had steak, lobster and various pieces of fish. The overall consensus is that the fish is far from fresh. Our server was nice but overwhelmed... More

It was hot and muggy, but we ate outside anyway. That is the place you want to be. You can see all the boats and people. I ordered the lobster "sandwich", which is really a lobster roll but on a round bun. I really enjoyed it.

We visited The Lobster House yet again and yet again the food was excellent. Seafood diner and a pitcher of beer on the deck outside. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Always crowded with fast non personal service and wait for tables, as well as food prep. A tourist kind of place. The clam bar has great service and is very friendly In the back of the restaurant there are 3 other eating places part of the entire Lobster House and service is faster and wait not as long. The fish... More

While the outdoor seating area was a delight due to the steel drummer and the sensation of being afloat, the food was a disappointment on a recent visit. The afternoon list of selections was limited but given the fact that this was "The Lobster House," I felt safe ordering the lobster salad sandwich. Instead of lobster all you could taste... More

when we are on vacation in Cape May County we like to pick up a variety of the fresh seafood and bring it home to prepare. we have eaten in the restaurant and in the takeout area however the preparation of the food and the service is not all that it could be so we prefer to bring it home... More

This place is worth the wait--besides there are plenty of places to sit and wait, including an outdoor bar that serves a limited appetizer menu. So we enjoyed excellent clams on the half-shell and crabmeat cocktail and enjoyed the view while we waited 40 minutes at 6:00 on a Monday night. (I would skip the piña colada however--not enough rum!)... More

This place we visit each year. Love being on the water watching all the boats coming and going. The NE clam chowder is delicious as is the warm homemade bread. My fav meal is the chicken francais w the toasted cheese points on the side.

So very disappointed. We had lived in the area for 7 years and went to the Lobster House from time to time...it was wonderful. We moved away and recently revisited (6 years later) - what a difference....don't bother!!! Staff not extremely friendly or helpful. You wait a long time for service. Way overpriced for what you get (portions) and food... More

The food is excellent, server very large portions. The garlic bread served seems fresh. The place is next to pier and the ambience is really good. Not pet, children friendly though ;)
