When we visited we had two really fresh lobsters (cooked just after they were killed) The only drawback was seeing the lobster when it was alive then seeing (and eating it) once it is dead makes me feel guilty.

Stick with the fish right off the boats that dock at their pier - it can't get any fresher. The service is reliably top notch from waitresses in traditional starched uniforms. Don't like to wait? You'd better get there early.

For the price, I would have expected more crab than shrimp, but they were still good. My husband got a lobster dish and... More

We celebrated our 45th anniversary at this location - it was a favorite restaurant of ours when we first met.

The last time we visited Cape May we ate at the Lobster House. This seems to be a usual stop for my friends. I am really not that impressed. I think the seafood is fresh but not really prepared in any other fashion other then Deep Fried. Not my thing. We ate outside which was self service. The atmosphere was... More

Where do over 50% of Cape May dinners eat each night - Lobster House! Room after room of diners and a mobbed carry out. A throwback restaurant that has figured out how to serve hundreds a night. A small waiting room "museum" tells the Cape May seafood story. Have eaten there for years with never a poor meal. Order any... More
