We have eaten here for over thirty years. Always good service and great food. Seafood is their speciality with a fresh seafood market on the premises.

My husband and I were recommended to the Lobster House by several. We were told it was a great place for a fresh seafood meal. Sadly, we were disappointed and we would have much rather spent our money elsewhere. The atmosphere is very dated, but that's common in older style seafood restaurants. That wasn't really an issue. However, the floor... More

Tourist trap! Lobster roll was spicy minced lobster, reminiscent of the canned Devils ham.. No lobster chunks here. Fed my portion to the sea gulls. My husbands ordered the soft shell crab, he is not a picky eater at all...said it was rancid! Stay away.

We dined outside. The crabs, crab soup, oysters, oyster Rockefeller and stone crab claws. To die for! We went twice for dinner.

This is a very popular restaurant in Cape May. After eating there, I understand why. The meal was delicious, the service excellent, the atmosphere in the restaurant was homey and the location by the water was lovely.

I wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. Not sure where to start... The food was just awful-fried calamari with no taste, clam chowder with lumps of something sticky, kettlepot of seafood with sand and side dish that had weird boiled cabbage and mushrooms with no seasoning. Also I felt bad for the waitresses having to wear white... More

I have lived on the coast of southern New Jersey all my life and have been baffled over the fact that a very successful seafood restaurant could serve frozen fish and shellfish. My family has fished all my life and I know fresh fish. The sides are overcooked and tasteless. The lobster House is on par with Red Lobster, only... More

Amazingly this was our first trip to Cape May...and it will not be our last! We were down for the day and wanted to go somewhere nice for dinner. After reading trip adviser we chose The Lobster House. We did not have a wait...we had a very attentive and extremely nice waitress...I wish I could remember her name. The food... More

The Schooner America,Raw Bar and Main Bar (Bobby Dink and Tommy are the best),are worth going to by themselves, But there is a very long wait all the time, and the food is just fair.
