Just seem to keep going back!

Service is always friendly if not the quickest, but then again, you really don't expect a great meal to be rushed. Regardless if it is in the Raw Bar, Schooner or the formal dining room, their meals are always great. I seem to gravitate to the 3 lb lobster, calamari or raw oysters and a salad but... read more

Had the broiled seafood plate . The large scallops were tender and tasty. The half lobster was also very tender and tasty. The fish fillet was very fresh and cooked perfectly and the crab cake was almost all crab. The meal came with vegetable, potato, salad and a loaf of really good fresh baked bread - all for $30. A... The inside restraint wasn't bad but definitely not worth the 90 minute wait. Do yourself a favor and stay outside on the dock and order from the take-out window. Very crowded after 5 pm in the summer on weekends.

Seems to me the Lobster House is slipping a bit in quality. Over the past years and years of visiting the Lobster House never a problem. On this visit there were 6 of us and 3 out of 6 had to send our food back. One meal was lobster tails and under cooked close to raw, next was my meal... More

What a find while riding bikes from the morning till night. Great location in the marina part of the harbor, with indoor or outdoor seating and 3 restaurants to chose from. First time for me to try soft shell crabs, yummy. Will not be my last, absolutely scrumptious.. The fish market part of this experience had given my travel friend and... More

Went to The Lobster House for the first time Memorial Day Weekend . Expect to wait for parking and to be seated at least 1 hour. This place is huge and probably has a few hundred tables and it was packed . There are many bars and rooms as well as huge outside deck. We waited at the bar and... More

We have been trying to eat here for the past few years and finally the opportunity presented itself. First attempt on the Sunday before Memorial Day for dinner was a mistake. Could not find a parking place. Opted for lunch on Memorial day. Very impressed. At on the dock. The shrimp cocktail, scollops, and fried calamari were excellent. The selection... More

The broiled scallops were amazing, but service was not. No smile no love. Strictly business. Salmon was overdone. My food was underseasoned. I recommend the scallops. Servings were very small. I probably won't go back.

Here is my problem with this type of restaurant - its all about the churn and burn, but if I'm paying for fine dining, then I would like that atmosphere. The matching diner costumes, the huge seating area, down to the part of the menu that says it is ok to bring children, but only if they behave - it... More
