Very good food and pleasant atmosphere

I ordered the Swordfish which was excellant. My wife ordered a Shrimp dish which she loved. We had shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. It was nice the place was located near the water so it smelled like the beach/ocean.

Fast service. Don't be intimidated by the "packed" parking lot. They can accommodate a large volume of people. Good food. Friendly staff.

Poor service (we waited over 45 min for kids burgers which then were sent back as they got the order wrong!) so kids food came over an hour late! The seafood was disappointing, the fisherman's platter had very small portions and was overpriced for the quality and quantity. Will never go back and don't recommend it at all.

Wonderful atmosphere. Very pleasant wait staff and prompt service. Enjoyed watching the boats come in, very relaxing. Great chowder, crab cakes, and shrimps. The fresh warm bread is always a hit.

Get there early because the fresh seafood disappears quickly. Take a number and hold on for the ride, make certain you know what you want by the time your number is called because it's the only way to fly safely.

When it comes to the freshest, best seafood in Cape May (really, all of South Jersey), it doesn't get better than this old-line restaurant. It has a fantastic seafood market and fleet of fishing boats so there is no fresher seafood anywhere. There is also a raw bar and a schooner bar/dining area. However, the menus are different, so check... More

This establishment has not changed anything but the prices in the past 45 years. Granted, that it is located in a area of the harbor that offers unbeatable tranquility and relaxation, but that is where it stops! I like to label places like this as a "cattle call". Tons of tourists marching in and out the swinging doors, somewhat happy... More

Very large place with several different dinning rooms with different menus in the same location. There is an outside boat that you can sit on with limited but fine menu. If you want a larger meal there is the inside room. The food was good the service was good and the prices were fair.

Our group of six went here during a storm/power outage that encompassed Cape May, Wildwood, and I believe Atlantic City. Because of their generator, we could still enjoy a drink on the Schooner and then dinner under cover in the restaurant. We waited a bit, but under the circumstances, we were happy to be dry and getting dinner. We came... More

We were visiting friends in South Jersey and decided to have lunch on the outside schooner at Lobster House. Arrived just in time to get a nice table. This place really fills up fast so its a good idea to arrive at opening time. Service was great and the food is always good. We had the lobster salad which is... More
