I am giving the Lobster House an above average review because my wife and I really enjoyed sharing 3lb. lobster there for lunch. We had no expectations so we were pretty open-minded about our experience. The Lobster House seems lost in time. I became nostalgic for the late 70's and early 80's... read more

Here is the only problem with my review. I order the same thing every time. I believe it is called the schooner. It is various seafood, including lobster, shrimp, scallop, mussels etc. They steam it a large metal pot and serve it with melted butter. I have had it at least 6 times. My wife orders dinners other than seafood... More

We visited our friends in Cape May by driving to Lewes, DE, and taking the ferry to Cape May as foot passengers. The ferry system allows you to park for free. We decided to visit the Lobster House at Fisherman's Wharf for dinner for the 4 of us. Karen was the server and she was great. She was knowledgeable about... More

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant on a recent overnight stay in Cape May. I had the best Flounder I have ever had in my life. The dish was Flounder Franchise. I love Chicken Franchise; so, I had to try this dish. It was the best Franchise of any kind that I have eaten. Franchise is an... More

Breaded flounder was good with macaroni & cheese. Not overly large portions, but not bad for price. A little cold & drafty in March! I also thought their uniforms were silly & they stand along the dining area waiting to assist which is great but no privacy when you eat!

The Lobster Bisque is a meal in itself, and my husbands's oyster stew was also very good. We both had salads with our soup. I had the spinach salad with blue cheese dressing, and he had the Cesar salad. A bit disappointed that we weren't given their wonderful homemade bread/butter with our meal.

An unbeatable value. Try to go when the raw bar is open. The main dining room is a bit stuffy. The atmosphere of the outdoor raw bar space is fantastic! Bring your appetite!!

I often go to the fish market, coffee house (small restaurant to the right of the fish market) and to the fried takeout. The food is good and worth the money. The fish market is the best price in the area and very cheap compared to NYC or Phila. The coffee house is normally good food but the Lobster salad... More

If your in cape may you must eat here. The seafood is some of the best I have had.the prices are reasonable and I have always had good service. In the summer months you can expect a wait, but well worth it.

When visiting Cape May we always eat at The Lobster House. During this recent visit we dined on broiled two pound lobster and sautéed crab cakes. This included fresh salads, two sides and homemade superb bread. Heartily recommended!
