This was truly a fine dining experience. My husband and I shared many dishes and were able to savor some great dishes. Appetizers- lobster bisque was classic and right on, beet & arugula salad with goat cheese was delicious and the beef carpaccio was very good. Onto the best.... the gnocchi with veal cheeks was ethereal, one of the best... more

While in Cape May last week, we dined at the Washington Inn with their early bird special, served between 5-6p.m. For $22, you received a 3 course meal which included soup or salad, choice of 3 entrees, and choice of dessert. For the money, and the atmosphere, this was a real bargain. The service was just as impressive, as they... more

The food there was very good, but our waiter seemed rushed and more interested in tending to a large group at another table than to us. Our table was in the middle of the room, which made us feel unsettled. Although the food is very good, the atmosphere is a bit stodgy. I would say that 90% of the people... more

we had the pleasure of dining at Washington Inn on June 13, after an absence of several years. We are definitely not going to let that happen again. We were celebrating our 35th anniversary, and when our waiter discovered that, he made a point of introducing us to several other couple sitting nearby that were also there for their anniversary. we... more

We just had another fantastic and very enjoyable dining experience at the Washington Inn. From the hostess, then into the lounge for a cocktail to the dining room staff and the food, we find this place to be very consistently very good. We have tried different appetizers, different entrees and different desserts and have always been impressed. I just have... more

After a week of eating in various restaurants in Cape May, we chose the Washington Inn to celebrate our last night. We weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic evening and the service was superb. It's what you'd expect in this fine dining establishment. The organic salmon entree and roasted chicken were delicious as well as as the... more

When you visit a tourist destination like Cape May, one of the best ways to find a good restaurant is to see where the locals eat. In Cape May, the Washington Inn is a local favorite and with the many restaurants on the island, that's saying a whole lot! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at The Washington Inn... more
