We had dinner at the Washington Inn during our recent visit to Cape May. We have eaten there many times. The food is always excellent, they have a very extensive wine list, and the atmosphere is beautiful. This was the first time that we were not happy with our service. Our waiter was way too animated for such an elegant... More

Enjoyed a very nice Saturday evening dinner here last weekend. We were seating in the garden room (2 walls overlooked greenery). Nice table and the noise level made talking very easy. My wife had the grilled Meyers steak and I had an off-menu special of S. Pacific white fish (forgot the name). Both were outstanding in presentation. Fish was excellent... More

Very wonderful meal. Small menu but fabulous selection, something for everyone! The filet mignon and my husband had the lamb chops. So flavorful. The sorbet is made in house and so fresh. Atmosphere is quaint and comfortable. Does not seem to have a bad table in the house. 1 suggestion, call for reservation if Open Table on line reservation does... More

A little late, but summer is forth coming and this restaurant's service is definitely different in high season. We were looking forward to visiting this restaurant again, so much that I reserved 3 weeks in advance. First, the good. Our drinks at the bar were expertly made, do try their beach plum martini- terrific- Old world bar tending with great... More

On Saturday March 15th my wife and I had dinner at the Washington Inn. Everything we had was outstanding. My wife is still talking about the appetizers, how fresh and tasty they were. We are counting calories and we asked if we could share our dinner and the server said it was not a problem, The presentation of both our... More

Large group (80 people) dined there this past Friday evening! Chef did an outstanding job with our 5+ course dinner. Truly superb! Everything was fresh, delicious and artfully presented.

Went with friends to celebrate their wedding anniversary, we arrived early and enjoyed the friendly bar atmosphere while we waited a short time for the table. All seven of us enjoyed the cocktails and the menu promised an exceptional evening. We were not disappointed, I only heard great comments, and not one complaint. While I will admit it is not... More

Always wonderful. We've had special occasions celebrated here, holidays, groups, etc. They never have let us down. They've been in business a long time and never have the glow of great service, beautiful food in a warm, lovely setting.
