Stopped here on the way to the local theater. Sat at the bar where we were offered the option of the full menu or the bar menu. The Chalkboard special of Coconut Shrimp and mango cole slaw caught my eye. My wife had the grilled chicken caeser salad. Bar service was excellent and the food arrived promptly. The Pilot House... Had the steak frites, it was excellent. I was very happy with service. Our waiter Ron recommended a delicious coctail. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We ate at the newly renovated PH on a recent trip to Cape May. We have three kids ages 6, 9 & 11 so we were looking for a family friendly place to eat. The menu was average priced (for CM) & offered a nice variety of entrees & sandwiches. We all enjoyed our food except my shrimp tacos were... More

We at the Pilot House really dropped the ball with Tara and her family's experience. As the owner I was embarrassed with our nickel and dime performance. We purchased the Pilot House 9 weeks ago and have had our fair share of start up issues, we are working hard to improve the guest experience. Our policy is unlimited free refills,... More

We hadn't been to the Pilot House in years but decided to visit it again during our recent vacation. Eating out can be tricky for us because my daughter has multiple food allergies, but that was no problem for our server, Ron, and Chef Jeremy. Ron carefully noted all the ingredients to be avoided, and Jeremy custom-created a beautiful, delicious,... More

We tried the Pilot House on a whim and were very pleased that we did! The food is interesting and varied, not your average casual-bar food kind of place. It was hard to pick something but we ended up with a variety of dishes to try and they were wonderful! We had some generous drinks. Prices are reasonable. The staff... More

If you enjoy excellent food at great prices, with world class service, go to the Pilot House. Yes, the Pilot House. The owners of Peter Shields have purchased it, and chef Carl Messick is in the house. I had the tuna tartare and the day boat calamari and the presentation as well as the food was magnificent. I started out... More

Went there for quick lunch and it was great, quick and delicious. Only error was services, a little slow for 2:00pm lunch, never saw a manager and server helping pour water refills got 90% in the glass & the other on the floor. Will return for dinner.

My husband and I stopped into the Pilot House for the first time since it is under new ownership. We had heard various comments but we wanted to try it out for ourselves. We were very impressed. Our visit was on Wednesday, July 9th about 7:30 PM and it was just the right time to pop in. We always sit... More

Had not been there for years but read it is under new ownership and gave it a try. The menu was a little limited but our entrees were great and service was cordial and attentive. Turns out it is now owned by Peter shields. One of Managers, Cassandra checked on us and thought it was a nice touch. You can... More

My wife and I had a wonderful experience the other night while vacationing in Cape May, NJ. We ate at the Pilot House. The Pilot House has new owners within the past year and the interior has had a facelift as well. The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff was courteous and friendly to us. We had a brief wait,...
