This is now one of our favorite restaurants in Cape May after having dined here a few times. We've had a lot of disappointing dining experiences in the city but this one is enjoyable all around. The setting is in a lovely old Victorian house, nicely appointed, and the staff is welcoming. All of the food we have had here... More

The food was perfect, but the noise level was very high on the Friday evening that we had dinner with friends at this restaurant. Over all, I recommend it, but don't try it with more than 4 people if you want to visit with anyone other than those right next to you! Also, there were a number of noisy (not... More

We had dinner at the Ebbitt Room and we were very pleased. This is Cape May at it's best. My wife had the Scallops and they were wonderful. I had the Salmon and it was very good. The service is top notch and the decor is what you expect from a restaurant in this price range. Make your reservations early... More

First this place is not handicapp accessible. The porch and outer small room are pretty but the dining room feels crowded and as it fills it becomes difficult to hear regular conversation across the table. The food is very good but noise level inhibited my enjoyment.

Ebbitt room is one great Cape May experience. Creative dishes, upscale but comfy atmosphere and knowledgeable wait staff make for memorable dining. A 'must see' of the area if you stay for a long weekend.

What's not to like? The food is elegant, the appetizers selection is varied, the drinks are varied and tasty. A little crowded, but enough room to get around. For me the piano was loud, I had difficulty hearing the conversations at my table.

the food was delicious, sound level perfect, service was good. had the deviled eggs which changes every night. pork belly was sold out. we both wanted an entree from their 'early bird special' menu, the flank steak. so the chef said ok. we ordered the mac and cheese too. we couldn't finish it all. the mac was just ok. i... Dined at the bar one night and in the dining room the next. Food was excellent and we found a special bottle of French red that was perfection.

Firing on all cylinders, the Ebbitt Room matched understated Victorian elegance (nothing kitschy) with attentive, knowledgable service and delicious food. With many items locally sourced and everything beautifully prepared, the foodie in you will be most pleased. The portions were just right and the timing of their appearance at the table was spot on, despite the very busy evening of... More
