This dining experience was great. The Ebbitt Room is not a very large restaurant so make a reservation. The meals we had were delicious. We loved the unique deviled egg appetizer. My husband had a pork chop that was served right from farm to table. A lot of the ingredients come from the Beach Plum Farm right in Cape May.... More

We had breakfast and dinner here. Being right in congress hall where we stayed was a plu! Many great choices.

In a word - Delicious**** The restaurant is farm to table so the menu changes based on season. Compliments to the new Chef and his team for such creative dishes. I've been a fan of the décor and atmosphere but what makes the experience is back of the house timing and servers. Keep up the great creativity and service.

Intimate, romantic, great cocktails and appetizers(calamari, oysters, charcuterie plate). I wish I could remember the female bartender's name. A couple came in who had been there a few months earlier. She remembered the cocktails they'd ordered!

The food was delicious; the service was great...but the tables are so close together that a server pouring water for the O'Beasts at the neighboring table should have apologized for putting his butt in my face. At the new table, we were privy to conversations to our left and right. Add a surprise $25/bottle corkage to the mix and I... More

We always plan a visit to the Ebbitt room on our trips to Cape May. It is a place where you can get a little dressed up and not stand out. It just seems a little more elegant than some of the other places we go. We arrive early to try their cocktails. They seems to have a couple news... More

There was a group of 6 of us for dinner on September 14th to celebrate my wife and mother-in-law's birthdays. The Ebbitt Room is one of our favorite Cape May haunts, and it certainly did not disappoint this time around. The pace of the meal was perfect so that we could enjoy the food and company, while the food itself... More

Must be my lucky week here in Cape May. The crowds have thinned after Labor Day and we’ve enjoyed one fantastic meal after another. I look forward to having a meal at the Ebbit room on most of our trips to Cape May. This year didn’t disappoint. Our stay at the Star package this week included a voucher for part... More

The food on the menu sounds a lot better than it tastes... $13 for 3 x half deviled eggs (their signature dish) was overpriced and they weren't that good / nothing different/exciting to any other deviled eggs we have eaten. The strawberry/field greens salad was tiny but the dressing was OK... the heirloom tomato salad really needed more seasoning but... More

This is a real gem in Cape May. It is in a Victorian B&B near the boardwalk - about a block from the ocean. The veranda/porch is terrific for a drink before dinner. If it ids too hot to sit outside, there is an air conditioned closed in porch and a lounge to have an aperitif. The atmosphere is superb... More
