We've been coming to Cape May for years and have often craved a good Mexican meal, and have found no options or have been disappointed. Last year on the way out of town we saw a sign that said Mexican and figured we'd stop in and give it a try. We were blown away by her discovery. We tried the... More

Wanted to try some Mexican in Cape May and found this place. Prices average in the mid-teens but you get a lot of food. The meats in our meals were seasoned and flavorful and topped with fresh avocado and diced tomatoes and lettuce. Definitely would come back to eat here!

I've been to this restaurant a few times in the past. Today as I was eating a salad I felt something stab me in the side of my mouth. I ended up finding a staple that had been in the salad.when I told the waitress about it and showed her the staple she had a very blase' attitude about It.... More

We enjoyed our second trip to this restaurant. We came here last summer while in Cape May and enjoyed our visit. It was very busy this time around. We're happy to see this restaurant is doing well. We hope to be back again next summer. Great food; service is good but it wouldn't hurt to have more people working when... More

It took a bit to find the place because the GPS would not take the address. It was not very busy, which should have been a warning. We had 4 meals--2 were good, one was okay and one was terrible. The worse was the wait staff--inattentive after the initial interaction. There is potential here but this place needs a good... More

This is probably the best Mexican restaurant we have found since leaving the Southwest 30 years ago! The burritos are huge, and not diluted with rice or other fillers. The menu is creative (e.g. shrimp and scallop burrito) and comprehensive. Service was prompt, friendly and caring, even with almost all of the tables occupied. This restaurant appears to be family-run,... More

The food is really, really good. Portion sizes are good. The only drawback was that service was a bit slow (they seemed understaffed). Like other reviewers said, don't let the location or limited parking convince you not to stop!

Whenever I am in the mood for great Mexican food I love to to come to 5 de mayo. Their Mexican cuisine is a step above all the rest! I absolutely love their flautas con pollo appetizer. On a recent trip with my boyfriend we both ordered burritos, one shrimp and scallop and one fajita burrito and both we very... More
