We were especially disappointed in the food at the Fish Market because our B&B people had recommended it. The clams cassino were tasty but not as good as expected, or prepared as eaten elsewhere (which was also tastier). The fish & chips were mediocre. The seafood pasta was good but also disappointing: while the shrimp and scallops were large and... More

The special menu posted out front of the restaurant caught our attention as we strolled along Washington Mall. Since we were not very hungry, we decided to go inside for a taste of the advertised appetizers... crab & avocado bruchetta and crab spinach quesadillas. So delicious, and just the right amount of food for 3 people! The service was not... More

Stopped at Fish Market during our tour yesterday of bars and restaurants. We wanted to see how many we could get in. We actually stopped here, late in our tour and left because they were BYOB. After another stop, we went back. Thank goodness! My husband loved the coleslaw (not my favorite in general). We shared the Cold Combo (2... More

We normally go to Cape May on off season, early or late. We always go to this restaurant. The food is good, tasty and a goodly amount. The menu may not be twenty page, but it has an excellent selection of fish. We have enjoyed the salmon, swordfish and crab cakes. Our server has always been friendly and attentive.

Stopped at Cape May Fish Market quite by default for dinner when our other choice was not open (due to it being off-season). We started with the conch fritters, which were really good, but they were served with some sweet, chutney-like dipping sauce; cocktail sauce or tartar sauce would have been better. I had the grilled swordfish, which was dry... More

Very good clam chowder. Nachos were cold and not much taste. Very good service. Somewhat expensive. The hamburgers are very good.

You know you're in for a great experience when you're greeted by a hostess that's sitting in the front booth with her feet up. Had my wife not had her heart set on their prime rib special, I probably would have turned around and left. Fortunately our server turned out to be top notch, but I can't say the same... More

We were so looking forward to eating at this restaurant. The clam chowder was OK but certainly not as good we had expected from reading previous reviews. It tasted like it was canned and they added cream to it to make it richer. We were so disappointed in the lobster rolls. The lobster was so overdone and dried out that... More
