Description: In the heart of the Historic District, Frescos occupies an 1880 Victorian cottage. On the candlelit veranda, or in the coolness of the Mediteranean inspired dining rooms, you imagine yourself at a small trattoria in Tuscany, or sampling the finest of local seafood at a Mediterranean cafe. From the seafood and homemade pastas of the South to the elegant sauces, meats, and veal of the North, Frescos is a culinary adventure tour of Italy. Frescos' award-winning young Chef Joseph Badger takes as his palette the incredible variety of fresh local seafood, and bountiful local produce, bringing a richness and creativity to the menu-- a dazzling display of shrimp, lobster, seafoods and pastas, and desserts that make guests exclaim with delight. One of ZAGAT'S "Top Italian Restaurants in America," and Voted "Best Italian Restaurant in Southern New Jersey 2012," by NJ Monthly.

We visit Fresco's every year while vacationing in Cape May. We always enjoy the fried olives and they make delicious garlic bread. The food is consistently good and the shrimp & scallops over pappardelle is always delicious as is their signature dish, veal osso bucco. It is a BYO like most everything in the NJ area. My only comment is... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant as we were walking around in Cape May. After looking at other reviews we decided to try it out. We were so happy we did. We went off-season in early October so the restaurant wasn't too busy but it was nice and relaxing. We made reservations and were seated right away when we arrived. We... More

Convenient location, nice atmosphere. Our food was very good : Shrimp & Scallops over Pappadella & Penne Primavera. We also shared a Caesar Salad. Well prepared and very tasty. Service was also very good.

This place is a first class clip joint. We should have realized it when we arrived there on what should have been a busy night and the place was practically empty. Our first course was a Caesar Salad for two that had less than half the taste it should have had. No wonder Brutus did Caesar in. I had the... More

We made 8:15 reservations and got there a little early. Still had to wait even though empty tables were visible. Was seated by 8:30. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere made for an enjoyable dinner. This BYO is listed as a seafood place but there are other things on the menu. I had the veal saltimbocca and my wife the Spaghetti... More

We were going to the show around the corner. The location was great. Our waiter was awesome and there were many theater goers in the restaurant. We started with the fried olives. They were awesome, lightly breaded, crisp, and hot. What a great surprise. For entrees I had the seafood pescatore. Slightly spicy with loads of seafood. My wife is... More

Our table was waiting for us when we were greeted by the friendly manager, Rose. We were seated in a lovely area of this Tuscan-style restaurant. Our very knowledgable and pleasant waitress Catherine guided us through the daily specials and regular menu. We selected the Spaghetti Omuntiacata and a special called "the Black and Gold" This entree consisted of Black... More

My husband and I went here pre-theater for dinner. We had a very nice dinner. For our appetizer we had their fried olives- I still think about them-so much I can barely remember what we had for dinner. Seriously, dinner service was curtious and our meal was delicious. A must do when in Cape May.

Visited Frescos about a week ago when my family was down from New York. The food was delicious and our waitresses was excellent! Many in our party had the Feta Fettuccine and it was excellent! Def a place to visit if you want great Italian food in Cape May.
