In the heart of the Historic District, Frescos occupies an 1880 Victorian cottage. On the candlelit veranda, or in the coolness of the Mediteranean inspired dining rooms, you imagine yourself at a small trattoria in Tuscany, or sampling the finest of local seafood at a Mediterranean cafe. From the seafood and homemade pastas of the South to the elegant sauces, meats, and veal of the North, Frescos is a culinary adventure tour of Italy. Frescos' award-winning young Chef Joseph Badger takes as his palette the incredible variety of fresh local seafood, and bountiful local produce, bringing a richness and creativity to the menu-- a dazzling display of shrimp, lobster, seafoods and pastas, and desserts that make guests exclaim with delight. One of ZAGAT'S "Top Italian Restaurants in America," and Voted "Best Italian Restaurant in Southern New Jersey 2012," by NJ Monthly.

What a Disappointment!

I went to "Fresco's" the other night and was very disappointed. What was once one of the best restaurants in Cape May has,in my opinion, gone downhill. One good thing I can say is that we did not have to wait as we always did in the past-even with reservations! But,maybe that supports my feeling... read more

This was our 5th time here and every other time was very good. The service was really bad. We had to continually ask to have our water refilled. When she took away our salads she also took away the bread which my wife likes to use to wipe up the sauce. I got the special summer salad. There were two... More

My husband and I tried Frescos for the first time and we loved it. Our server, Lisa, really knew the menu and gave wonderful suggestions!

I just have to say, our server Lisa may have been the best waitress we have ever had. She was knowledgable, experienced and incredibly nice and accommodating! The food was excellent, but the service was impeccable. Lisa always came to check on us at just the right time and was so incredibly sweet and amiable. We will definitely be returning!... More

Jeri Ann, our server, had us at hello!!! A quaint, Tuscan decorated, quintessential restaurant in Cape May. From the lightly breaded fried olives to the osso buco with rigatoni to the fabulous desserts. Every course just as good as the last. Excellent menu and daily specials. Well worth a return trip!!!

Food was very well presented, and tasty! The staff was attentive and knowledgeable of menu. I like that it is a BYOB, however they also offer local cape may wines in case you forgot to bring wine! Our server James was great!

Check out the title bar; well, that says it all and, then some. Having been more than just a traveler of North Africa and, some tenure as to Morocco more than a visit, I was intrigued by the visiting Israeli chef and, guessed that his peeps hailed from old Morocco. Then again, I was curious as to what cumin, North... More

Frescos was a delicious and intimate experience once we found it. Not being familiar with Cape May, and having received vague directions we could not find it. Cape May is so compact, there is no reason to drive around town;we were walking. Like a Abbott and Costello routine, we walked all over the area for some 20 minutes before we... More

We come to cape may with a large group every June and everyone votes to go to frescos every year. Great service, cute atmosphere, small portions and somewhat pricey, but it's BYOB and seriously all of the food is amazing!!! I highly recommend their crab pasta aioli!

Server got order wrong, had attitude, apologized and offered desert. Came back at the end of meal and said management would not do anything for the servers mistake. My meal gave me heartburn and had three shrimp and two scallops. Porch had no air and they would not slide the window open to cool it off. Server did not even... More
