In the heart of the Historic District, Frescos occupies an 1880 Victorian cottage. On the candlelit veranda, or in the coolness of the Mediteranean inspired dining rooms, you imagine yourself at a small trattoria in Tuscany, or sampling the finest of local seafood at a Mediterranean cafe. From the seafood and homemade pastas of the South to the elegant sauces, meats, and veal of the North, Frescos is a culinary adventure tour of Italy. Frescos' award-winning young Chef Joseph Badger takes as his palette the incredible variety of fresh local seafood, and bountiful local produce, bringing a richness and creativity to the menu-- a dazzling display of shrimp, lobster, seafoods and pastas, and desserts that make guests exclaim with delight. Enjoyable meal

Husband and I had the 3-course prix fixe meal during Restaurant Weekend. He started with the Crab Claw Chowder, which he enjoyed. My appetizer was the mixed greens salad. Entrees chosen: Shrimp and Scallop Pescatore, which DH said was quite good, and Chicken Marsala (because I already had a seafood... read more

My husband and I discovered this great restaurant this past summer, and our only regret is that it is not open year-round. We could eat there every night! Very good value for your money. The food is awesome, the service excellent, and the ambience is casual and relaxing. We can't wait for the 2016 season to begin so we can... More

I wish that Frescos and 410 Bank were open year round. Fine dining with excellent service. We have eaten there on several occasions and have always had a wonderful meal. Highly recommended.

My wife and I ate here with another couple and we all enjoyed our meals. The fried calamari was delicious as was my scallops. The seafood and pasta were both cooked perfectly. Our waitress was friendly and took great care of us. My friend was still talking about the tiramisu the next day. The portions are not large but no... More

Although not in the hub-bub of downtown Cape May, this quaint restaurant is worth visiting. We visited it during the off season in late Oct. without reservations and almost didn't get in. It appears to have been a single family home at one time and hosts several different seating areas to accommodate both large and intimate parties. The menu had... More

We visited Frescos for dinner. My husband got the swordfish which he liked, I got a seafood pasta special, there was very little seafood. We both agreed both dishes were a little too salty. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Desert was average. Overall it was our most expensive meal during our trip but definitely not the best. I think... More

This place is quaint and adorable. It's very busy and a reservation is a must. It's nice to sit by the window but it's pretty cold, even in the summer. The fried olives were amazing. Our waitress was a sweetheart. Overall I was very impressed.

We took our best friends to dinner and was very disappointed. Our dinner was small, very expensive and average on taste, no wow.

Swordfish with capers. Excellent Choice. Don't forget to try the Spicy Hot Shrimp for an appetizer. You won't be disappointed. Only surprise was you pay for your bread, though delicious, you would expect that would come with the price of the meal. You can bring your own bottle of wine, or buy a bottle at the restaurant.
