In the heart of the Historic District, Frescos occupies an 1880 Victorian cottage. On the candlelit veranda, or in the coolness of the Mediteranean inspired dining rooms, you imagine yourself at a small trattoria in Tuscany, or sampling the finest of local seafood at a Mediterranean cafe. From the seafood and homemade pastas of the South to the elegant sauces, meats, and veal of the North, Frescos is a culinary adventure tour of Italy. Frescos' award-winning young Chef Joseph Badger takes as his palette the incredible variety of fresh local seafood, and bountiful local produce, bringing a richness and creativity to the menu-- a dazzling display of shrimp, lobster, seafoods and pastas, and desserts that make guests exclaim with delight. Dinner & A Play Special @ Fresco's Worth it!

Coupled with a play @ Cape May Theater next door (Shackleton Playhouse). We enjoyed our meals on the enclosed front porch-very comfortable, cozy atmosphere. Our meals were wonderful, the setting was very nice, and then we enjoyed the Theater next door. An easy, wonderful night in Cape May!

We had two of our finest meals at Frescos and its sister restaurant next door, 410 Bank Street--under the same management. Excellent service with very professional staff. Complimentary starters were different and delicious.

Must have the Fried Olives Veneziana. Lightly breaded Green Sicilian and Kalamata Olives. Amazing!!! We also had the newly added Hot Shrimp Cocktail. Warm Jumbo Shrimp in a spicy Pepper Sauce. Another addition to the appetizers was a Grilled Jumbo Scallops wrapped in Prosciutto with a Smokey Maple Glaze. Excellent! Entrees selection made it difficult to narrow down, but we... More

My husband and I have been spending a weekend in Cape May for the last 6 years, and I can't believe we never tried this place sooner. It was absolutely incredible! The service was excellent, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was by far the best we have ever had in Cape May. I had the shrimp and scallop... More

Our experience at Frescos was very disappointing. We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary. My husband ordered the veal chop. It came to the table looking thin, beaten and drenched in unmelted cheese. The presentation was unappetizing and downright sloppy. When we tasted it it was spoiled and tasted like it had not been refrigerated properly. Our waitress handled the... More

Looking forward to a special evening. It was ok. Was at 410 a year ago and was expecting A similar experience. Food was just ok. Nothing special. I had the seafood Fra Diavalo. I have had better at less pretentious restaurants for much less. The fried olives were different, but not a reason to come here. the service was excellent.... More

A group of 12 of us ate here on a Friday night. They were able to accommodate us even though they had a wedding party of 70 or so upstairs. Our reservations were only solidified that very day. They get a huge two thumbs up for that. The atmosphere was pleasant and the wait staff the same. The chef came... More

Service was as good as always, but food was fair at best. Went with my husband, sister, and brother-in-law, and had four different dishes. None of us were blown away. The osso buco used to be the best here, but not so much anymore.

This is my favorite restaurant in Cape May. It is also one of the easier restaurants to get a reservation. Perhaps not a lot of people know about. I almost always get the Fra Diavlo. Very spicy - but really good. Have also had ribs as a special and they were great too. Remember to bring your own wine.
