Went to the Pirate's Den for lunch on Aug. 1, the day before Labor Day, and found it crowded, but we were still able to get a seat. We were greeted right away for drinks, but then another waitress came to take our food order. I noted she wasn't all that communicative beyond just the perfunctory order-taking conversation, and when... More

People on here rave about this place. I haven't a clue why. Our party had a grilled flounder, a pork chop with provolone and greens and the shrimp scampi. The shrimp were decent, the chop had way too much spinach, was overcooked and the cheese was just barely melted. The worst was the flounder. It was anything but grilled. It... More

I had one of the best restaurant meals that I have had in a very long time. We arrived early for dinner and found that they had an Early Bird Special Menu. It included a beverage, your entrée, bread basket, soup or salad, and a choice of two veg's. I chose the Crab Cake and Fried Shrimp, the Italian Wedding... More

Recently visited on a Wednesday morning and was delighted not to have a long wait as done with previous visits. Ease of parking along the streets and being right across from the beach makes for a great location. Food menu offers so many choices it can be difficult to order. Prices are reasonable. This would have gotten a better rating... More

They have an extensive and unusual menu. Delicious meals - equal to the best meals served at one of the nearby casinos. They are a little out of the way at the northern end of the island. Worth the trip.

We have been there twice for dinner on this trip. The first time we had good service and the flounder was excellent. On the second trip, the flounder was very fishy and we had one of the nastiest waitresses I have ever encountered. Beware of a dark haired waitress and ask for someone else. Location is good, portions are large... More

After many breakfasts at Pirate's Den, we finally made it for dinner last night, Thursday, 6:30. No wait, seated immediately and the place was almost full. Enjoyed filet mignon/shrimp scampi over penne pasta special; my husband loved it. Couldn't decide between a salmon special and flounder francese. The waitress (who didn't tell us her name) helped me decide by customizing... More

We visitors the Pirates Den on a rainy day with a group of 13. The staff was so friendly and happy we couldn't help but love our food even more. It will make you wish for more small, quaint, locally owned hole in the walls!
