The Spanish Potato has exceptional and authentic cuisine. The appetizers were fresh and delicious. The paella was excellent and required a take home bag. The service was exceptional and the owner visited every table, We're going back for the lobster.

We've been to the Spanish Potato Grill a few times, and absolutely love it! It's a BYOB, which is great because they'll take your wine and make sangria for you!! When you first sit down, they bring out a platter of freshly made potato chips, so throw out your low carb diet for the night, because they're irresistible! The dinner... More

You will have to wait a long time to get in, but it is absolutely worth it! We have been to this place at least 5 times since it opened and never had a bad meal. Everything is delicious, the service is excellent. The owner always comes out to thank you for waiting-I believe he also cooks the meals. Everything... More

Went there recently with several family members for lunch. We all love Portugese food and Newark is such a long way to go for it. The Spanish Potato Grill was more than we had hoped for. The food was really good, prices so very reasonable for what we ordered...(plus you get to bring an extra entree home if you like..and... More

Went there for dinner around 6 pm and we were lucky because a lot more people showed up after us. We had to wait over 1/2 an hour and when we entered the restaurant, I understood why because it's a small place. It BYOB BTW. Service was good, all entrees comes with a Portuguese bean soup that they brought in... More

I truly wish I could give this place an excellent rating. I have been boasting about it since it opened, but sadly it still needs quite a bit of work. Staff is excellent, but not so the food. My husband and I both had steak and seafood in one form or another, and everything was practically raw. We live on... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant, the first time we ordered specials and were delighted with the meals, not so much this time. We all ordered paella and were disappointed with the seafood and lets face it other than rice that is what paella is. I can only say it tasted old, like it may have been around... More

This was our second visit to the Spanish Potato Grill, the first being shortly after it opened about a year or so ago. All I can remember from that visit was the smell of fried potatoes--in my hair, on my clothing-- all over. They must have installed a new filtration system, as the air is much fresher now. The restaurant... More

The food was good but we should have got there earlier. It was a 40 minute wait on a Tuesday night. I wish they accepted reservations but we'll go back again because we liked the food.
