Good but not what it used to be

Scene a few years ago: Arrive to a room full of people waiting to eat; seated at table for two, two full size delicious breads, cheese and cinnamon; huge menu with great prices; incredible salad choices to go with entrees; salads were huge; amazing large sides and portions; more breads offered... read more

Another one of our favorites in the area. Mastoris is an experience. From the time you walk into the door and are greeted with baked goods, get seated in one of many room options and then you get handed a menu. The menu takes two hands and reads like a novel, it is huge. The sandwich selection is fine print... More

I have been going here for many years and always found the service very good, food as well. The selection wider than most other diners you will find. The portions were always large and could not finish most of the time. They also have a variety of sections with different style and looks. I noticed that some things had started... More

I'm local and have been going here for years. The Mastoris family no longer owns it - it changed hands a while ago. At first, it seemed about the same, which was very good. Then it started to drift lower. My last two visits were below par, with this last time being poor. I went for breakfast with my 21... More

The hostess should have been an indication of what was to come. She took our name and proceeded to shuffle around some paperwork. After 30 seconds she looked up again and said "Can I help you?"!! It felt like we were in Finding Nemo and she was Dory!! She never said it would be 10 minutes or thank you. Once... More

We have been going to Mastoris for over 50yrs. & I think since new owners took over, quality and service isn't what it use to be. The original owners were great but since the new owners have it,not fantastic. They also own Town & Country Diner right down the road, Northbound 130. also be level they own All-Stars in the... A group of us came to Mastoris Diner after a trip to NY and were looking forward to a nice dinner and a piece of their delicious cheese bread. Unfortunately all but one person in our party were very disappointed. My dish was a special that day and came out unrecognizable to the description on the menu and tasted bland... More

We have been to Mastoris diner many times and always enjoy eating here. The menu is huge, the service excellent, and the prices reasonable with huge portions. We return whenever we are in the area.

From a really large menu, you can find many wonderful things to eat. Varied and extensive, the menu offers every kind of option from traditional diner food to healthy dishes. My husband had the duck special. He loved it! And the desserts are to die for! The portions are large so we took our desserts home but they were delicious.... More

Ate here a while ago because my boyfriend and I love the Town and Country Diner so much and we heard Mastoris is it's sister diner, but the two could not be any more different! Our waiter was okay but he seemed to be lifeless and that he did not care much for waiting on us. The food portions are... More
